This review is for Parramatta Hot Water Service, North Parramatta NSW

Our hot water has been a consistent (and somewhat chilly) 38C since we built our house 7 years ago. At the time our plumber who installed the Rheem hot water system for our house told us the system was factory set at a certain temperature. After moving into the house and experiencing 38C water we assumed when the kids were older we could easily increase the temperature but we accepted 38C was acceptable to prevent burns.
Well 7 years later, the kids were older and we really wanted hot showers so we opened up the hot water system only to find we couldn't increase the temperature. We then thought maybe something was wrong with the hot water system. We rang Rheem. The Rheem man checked our system and assured us it was working well. He believed we must have a cross contamination situation somewhere with cold water mixing with out hot water causing luke warm water.
Next we called a plumber who spent ages under the house, found nothing and told us if there was a cross contamination somewhere it was probably inside a wall. At that point we decided to accept 38C water because cutting open walls was not an option.
A year later (yes, a whole year and with Winter about to arrive) we again spoke to the plumber about the tempering valve under the house. He said it was illegal to take off and it wasn't the problem. He suggested we call a hot water specialist.
So on Friday 1st June at approx 10am we called Parramatta Hot Water. We were told someone would be at our house between 10.30am-3pm and they would call 30 minutes ahead..
I received a call at approx. 1.40pm and Josh was at my house by 2pm. For a guy much younger than the Rheem man and my plumber he certainly knew much more than they did. He diagnosed my problem in the first few minutes before he had even gotten under the house. It turned out we had a dodgy tempering valve. Whilst it is illegal to take it off it's certainly not against the law to change it over! Within 20 minutes I had 50C water and the first hot shower I had had in many years.
Josh was amazing! Knowledgeable, polite and even a little bit funny.
Highly recommended!!!!

Whilst the ice rink itself is good it is poorly run. As soon as you enter you are bombarded with yellow signs telling you what you can't do. The skate shop has a sign on the locked door stating it is open but you actually have to ask the ticket person if the shop is in fact open. A staff member then has to be located to open it. The range of stock is very limited and items often have to be ordered in which means another trip out there to pick your items up.

Whilst there web sites clearly states:

"SKATE SHARPENING

Here at Sydney Skate Sharpening we offer the best possible edge for your skates. We charge $10 for previously sharpened skates and $20 for new skates. Just come in, we look forward to seeing you."

this is just not true. I went there today only to be told skate sharpening wasn't available until 4pm. When I questioned the information on the web site (quoted above) I was informed the web site clearly states skate sharpening is only available after 4pm. Clearly it does not state that at all. On other occasions when I have gone to have skates sharpened I have had to wait for extended periods of time for a staff member to be located or I have been waved in a general direction and told to ask someone else to find the skate sharpener.

I believe this is really poor customer service and I won't bother going back there again.

Approximate cost: $20

In January 2015 I purchased a Skoda Superb from Skoda's Pennant Hills dealership on Pennant Hills Rd. A $1000 Caltex fuel card was part of the deal. In approximately March 2015 I contacted my salesman to enquire about the fuel card as I had not received it. He assured me the paper work had been sent to Caltex and the fuel card would be with me shortly. It is now July and despite phone calls and e-mails to head office, area managers and sale managers I still don't have the fuel card. Some 6 weeks ago I was ASSURED the paper work had been resubmitted to Caltex after being submitted incorrectly. I was ASSURED I would have the fuel card in 4 weeks. I called Skoda Head Office again on Thursday and requested a call back from an area manager as I still didn't have my fuel card. Instead I received a call from the local sales manager who had previously told me it was all sorted. He told me he would check into it on my behalf. The latest story is that the paper work was lost, has now been located and will be submitted to Caltex as a priority next week.

Surely lodging paperwork correctly shouldn't be so difficult? Apparently for Skoda it is incredibly difficult. So, 6 months ago I bought a new car. I STILL don't have the fuel card and have no confidence what so ever that it will ever arrive. Now I'm off the Fair Trading. Don't purchase vehicles from Skoda Pennant Hills and don't EVER expect to receive a fuel card. I'll never purchase a car from them again!

I found Robert on WOMO and am so glad I did!

He painted the hall way, lounge room, family room, kitchen, pantry, laundry, ensuite and toilet as well as the front and back doors, French doors and 2 feature walls, skirting boards, picture rails, wood panelling and fret work. Robert also touched up various areas that my previous painter (my husband) didn't do very well. He further painted some windows on the exterior of the house.

Most importantly he prepared the surfaces prior to painting by filling nail holes, sanding and no more gapping.

I am amazed at how fast Robert can paint. He didn't stop from the moment he arrived in the morning to the moment he left in the afternoon.

I was impressed with Robert's professionalism from the first time I rang him. He arranged to give me a quote the very next day then he worked around me (and my indecision with choosing colours!) concerning when he could start the job.

Robert turned up on time every time. He is incredibly neat and tidy and he even put back on the window latches he took off (something my previous painter failed to do!)

I am so impressed with his work, professionalism, honesty and speed. I have no hesitation in recommending Robert. If I ever need anything painted again I will definitely be calling him.

Approximate cost: $5500

Greg turns up on time every time. He is the best plumber I have ever used. He is very knowledgeable and has solutions to problems that other plumbers don't. Every time it rained our entire veranda flooded. I had 2 plumbers tell me an extra down pipe would fix the problem. Greg looked at the job and told me whilst I needed an extra down pipe that alone would not fix the flooding. He took me under the house and explained how the pipes under the house contributed to my problem. He completed the job quickly, charged a reasonable price and the veranda doesn't flood any more!

Most recently I had him out again to repair a problem with my bath because a previous plumber didn't install it correctly. Yet again Greg did a great job at short notice and charged a reasonable price. I highly recommend Greg Reid Plumbing Service.

I have been taking my car to Dennis for the last 9 years. He and his team of mechanics do a great job at a great price. I live on the other side of Sydney now but still take my car to him for servicing because I trust him to do a good job.

Dennis and his staff are helpful and friendly and the garage is within walking distance of Marrickville station so I can drop the car off on the way to work and pick it up later. I highly recommend AGS.
