Fantastic! So glad there is a quality dining experience such as Kambei in Ballarat!! So impressive. Try the plum wine - delicious!!

Coffee is good, some of the slices appear home made and the jelly slice is terrific. They offer some decent cafe style food and it's a cute, comfortable little 'diner style' cafe. HOWEVER, there's a woman who works there who makes you feel very unwelcome if you have children. They offer baby cinos (very cute in gender specific mini cups including marshmallows) and the menu specifies that they cater to kids, yet this particular woman makes you feel as though your kids are troublesome and even takes it upon herself to reprimand them for minor childlike infractions.  It feels as though you're being watched by an evil headmistress! This used to be a convenient meeting place for coffee catch ups but unfortunately we won't be back. Shame, the other staff are great.
