I was actually highly advised by someone in a similar field to see Dr Pat about the problem my parrot had. (He was deteriorating, and this was of great concern). I always get quite anxious when I have to see some-one different because I want the "best" looking after my sick parrot. On this occasion however I was extremely impressed with Dr Michelle Sutherland. She took the time to undertake a thorough examination of 'Loui', explained to me and my children the options, her proposed care plan, and recommendations including the rationale behind a compulsory hospital stay, that included crop feeding. In final, I will only be returning with my birds to Dr Sutherland.
She is a excellent avian vet, and great communicator with adults and children.
