Fashions U Love is a nice women's clothing store. They have some cute clothing, with quite a big range of dresses, for different occasions.
The main issue with this store is that the clothes are not particularly high quality. They almost always have loose threads hanging from them, and hems and seams don't hold together particularly well. They are relatively cheap, you definitely get what you pay for. Most times I buy from here it is for the sort of even that will have lots of photos, so I generally am happy to pay less for something I still like, when I know I probably won't really wear it to anything important again.
The best thing of this shop is that the staff are very helpful - they didn't have a dress I was after in the two sizes I needed, and the sales person was happy to take my details, call their warehouse and try to locate them for me. She wasn't successful, sadly, but was still happy to do it without complaint at all. She offered, I didn't even have to ask.

This is a pretty stock standard nail place, in my experience.
The main issue is, there is a huge variety in service across their staff.
Sometimes you get someone who is happy to do a really good job and you are there for a spa pedicure for 40 minutes, with really good attention and walk out feeling relaxed and with pretty toes. Other times (like my most recent visit), they are over and one with you in about 25 minutes and the job is just not great. Their polish is good quality and stays well, I got it done the day before we went on a 24 night cruise, and the vast majority of the polish was still there and looking good when we got back, even after lots of time at the beach during our trip, which I was happy with.
The problem, and where they fall down, is the soles of the feet and stuff like that, some staff just phone it in a bit. This is really evident when you stand waiting for an appointment for 5 minutes, watching someone else in a chair getting it done, finally sit, get the whole pedicure done, wait to pay and have left while the original person you were watching is still having hers done.
That sort of thing frustrates me, which is why I rarely choose to go to this particular business, only really when they have specials or I am in the centre already and it is just easier than messing around trying to find somewhere decent.

This is a good menswear store for older people. I don't mean any offense by this, but they really don't stock anything that anyone under about 40 is likely to be happy wearing (fashion sense wise that is).
That said, they do have nice quality clothes, and a fairly decent range for a more sedate or older market. Not all sedate, they do stock a range of the ever popular hawaiian shirts.
The staff are nice and helpful, but not overbearing. They don't rush as you the second you walk in the entrance, but if you are looking for a couple of minutes, they will offer assistance. That said, if you say 'no, just looking', they are happy to leave you to it.
They have decent sales on throughout the year and you can get some really quite cheap shorts and pants during these times.

A nice bag and accessory shop. Nothing particularly special about it really, compared to any other bag shop that exists, its main advantage to me is that it is in the local shopping centre I go to for groceries.
One of my biggest gripes is wanting one thing and having to go into a large shopping complex, dealing with the insane carpark, mass of people and their screaming children and trolleys, just because it is a speciality store and they really only exist in those larger complexes.
This shop has everything you would find other bag shops, without all the drama associated with having to go to a big complex.
They have a really large range of suitcases with different sizes and materials, and heaps of handbags and clutches.
Most recently I bought a travel adaptor so we could plug out electrical things into US powerpoints, we were looking at one type, but the sales person suggested a more flexible one that would work in more countries that was only a tiny bit more expensive, and we were really happy with how it works.
Nice stock, good range, and friendly, helpful staff.

This is really quite a nice jewellery store.
They are pretty expensive as a general rule, so I don't always go there as a starting point when I am looking, but they have some nice unique things, which is why I often end up there after seeing the same thing in every other store and getting bored of it.
As seems to be the way with many jewellery shops, the staff are quite abrupt, and do actually treat you differently according to how you look. When I go in after work they tend to be a more friendly than when I go in on holidays, when I look really classy in my thongs.
They are pretty knowledgable about their products though, and make good suggestions when directly asked for assistance or opinions.
Also, they do tend to have nice trinket type things on a table at the front that are relatively cheap and make good last minute presents for people.

This review is for FDB's, Springwood QLD

FDB's is a discount store, fairly standard kind of place.
They have a big variety of things, particularly a large craft section, bigger than most discount stores I look at. I go there pretty frequently to get stuff for my Guide unit when we are doing craft activities because it works out cheaper than most and they have different things to everywhere else, which is nice.
Some of their things are more expensive than more standard chains, so it is worth pricing and checking it out, rather that just assuming because they are a discount place their prices are cheap.
The staff are pretty laid back about everything, including service. They always look like you are being a pain when you ask a question or want help at all, which I don't love and is really their greatest drawback as a shop.

This review is for Argery's Quality Meats, Springwood QLD

This is not my normal butcher, but is right outside the Woolies I do my grocery shopping at, so when I am feeling particularly lazy and don't want to drive, park, etc etc to go to my favourite place, I usually get my meats from Argery's.
The staff are really lovely and friendly, and always happy to do anything they can - mince meats, cut things however you like, etc. Nothing is too difficult.
They have lots of regular customers - that is really evident from the fact that they greet the majority of the people at their customers by name.
Probably the main thing, of course, is the meat - I have been really happy with everything I have purchased there. My partner says they have great lamb (I don't eat it, so can't personally confirm that) but particularly I like their mince. It is fresh and lovely and not fatty tasting.
Definitely better than just grabbing something from the grocery store!!

This review is for Limco Car Detailing, Springwood QLD

I have had my car washed here numerous times. Basically because I am too lazy to do it myself, but also because, quite frankly, they do a far better job that I do.
There are a number of different options with different price points, I generally get inside and outside full detail and it is about $65 or so, and they do a wonderful job.
You just drive up, leave the car with them, they give you an idea of how long they will be (most times, they have said 45 minutes) and you get to go shopping. I always "have" to buy something to get cash out to pay them. Love it!
The staff are really good at what they do to, and they care probably more than I do. Where I was parking my car at work it was having some kind of tiny seed covered with sap fall over it, like thousands of them, and they have permanently stained our car. The guy who did the wash first time tried everything to get them off, made some progress, and set up a plan to fix it, over the next 2 washes he almost entirely got the marks off. For a car wash place, I think that is really amazing dedication.

So, today was the first time I have been to this store, and I have to say it was a little overwhelming. The place is huge, they have a massive range.
Today I was only interested in the scrap booking section, but did have a wander around and look at everything.
I must confess, I am neither a scrapbooker or craft fanatic of any sort. I lack the artistic gene entirely, as it happens. My mother on the other hand loves that whole world, particularly since her retirement, thus my visit on a search for her birthday present.
As a complete novice I admit I walked in an my jaw dropped. I was looking for a particular thing recommended by a crafty friend of my mums, and the second I walked in I knew I was in trouble :)
Luckily, there arer very friendly and helpful staff only too happy to answer questions and make suggestions. I did a bit of a wander around looking for my desired item and had no luck so sought out some assistance.
The sales person was super nice and incredibly knowledgeable. She discussed the pros and cons of my selected item and made some recommendations based on her personal experience with the product and feedback from other customers, which was fantastic.
I are really happy with it, but, if it fails to impress my mum, they have assured me of a refund or exchange for something more appropriate. Yay!

I spent quite a lot of time here on Saturday. My husband and I had just returned to Sydney from holidays (laden with stacks of luggage) and were catching up with friends in Sydney for lunch. We went here mostly because when we were looking at the restaurant menu out front and the welcoming person was fairly convincing.
The menu is not overly inspiring, but the food is actually quite good when you order.
The main advantage I think of this place was they were really ok with us being there. By this I mean, we rocked up at about 11 with 4 large suitcases, settled into a table, took over an hour to decide what we wanted to order, got a simple meal each and then just water and remained at our table until 3. Not once did we have anyone looking at us like we were in the way, bothering us to buy more or suggesting we might want to move on. They were fairly busy too, not like we were the only customers by any means, and they were really just fine with it. In a busy and popular area, particularly relatively expensive as it were, this surprised me, but made me pretty happy. This is not an easy quality to find in eating establishments.

Approximate cost: $25-35
