Unprofessional business practices and disgraceful customer service.

My appointment time was changed with no consultation, and I eventually received an untimely and unprofessional follow-up from the management, regarding my query about being overcharged.

The evening of my haircut, I queried via email about whether I was overcharged and left three voicemail messages the next week, but received no response. On the fifth try, I finally got a response. The representative who contacted me appeared disdainful towards me from the start of the conversation by saying, "I have this message to call you, where are we at?". They talked over me when I spoke, didn't answer my questions, and never apologized to me as a customer about my experience. Previous reviews indicate that they have zero customer service skills for clients who give feedback. The minimum expectation of an apology for the bad experience or the lack of response would have helped. The conversation was so redundant that I had to talk over them to express my dissatisfaction and eventually had to end the call while they were still talking.

On the day, I was provided with a $30 in vouchers (one for me and one referral), but due to the unprofessional manner in which the management acted, I will never return nor would I recommend this salon to anyone, over a misunderstanding of $20.

The website misleadingly states $165 (1 June 2023) as it did when I booked (and paid a deposit), and at no time did the salon advise of a new price when confirming the appointment via email or text reminders. The salon made sure to note their own various conditions about how I would lose my appointment if I turned up 10 minutes late or with damp hair. The representative would not answer my question about guaranteeing that the price was the same as when I booked it months ago.

I found the interaction with contacting the salon and management to be very unprofessional.

I gave the option for the salon to respond before I posted my review, but I received an email with unnecessary excuses and nine screenshot attachments with red circles from the management instead of understanding my experience. I would have been happy with an apology for any misunderstanding and to be informed when the price increased. But their lack of response to my email and voice messages, unprofessional behavior on the telephone call, and unnecessary email response solidified my decision not to support this business. I have received no apology for their unprofessional behavior on the phone. There was a lot of incorrect and contradicting information in their email to me. They accused me of not sending my email, said the price change WAS on the website, and provided a contradicting story about my hairdresser's availability, which had no impact on my appointment or complaint. I have double-checked all the information and their statements are incorrect. I feel vindicated in my decision not to support this salon, not due to the hairdresser, but due to the unprofessional customer service and treatment by the management.
