We read the reviews here on WordOfMouth and decided to make the trip from Fitzroy to Kew to buy Pork for our crispy pork recipe for Christmas day.

As many have said before me, the service is phenomenal! Even though the shop was abuzz, I was served very quickly by a nice young guy who asked me just the right questions to work out what I wanted and needed. He then handed over to the butcher himself for very personalised service.

The butcher - DAVID - went out back and selected just the right sized piece for me (4KG) and presented it to me to check I was happy with it. David then gave me the option of removing the bones, which he did for me, and he even scored the skin for me exactly how I wanted it scored (1cm diagonals).

Once completed, David took the time to give me the tips on how best to prepare my crispy skin pork.

Seriously folks, you don't get better personalised customer service than this. For a moment in time, I felt transported back to the heyday of the 1950s.
