went here for an after party, great space (lots of seating) and the dancefloor lights up which is quite cool
also loved their toilets, very spacious and clean
music was good, drinks were alright
only didn't like the fact that it's a fair trek from the cbd, but it's one of the better clubs out in melbourne
went here for a birthday, and as everyone's mentioned - the place is absolutely quirky! didn't get to try the syringe drink unfortunately, just had a standard drink which was fine
there were random areas which i assumed were sitting areas (up top) which made it a bit hard to find a space when you're with a group of people (which i guess is what the bottom floor's for)
top floor's not too bad, music fits in well with the atmosphere, but is good enough to dance to
overall the main trump card with this bar is the theme, it's definitely one of those places in melbourne that you have to go to before you die!
went here for a friend's birthday ages ago mainly because we heard they were serving free drinks before a certain time (so we decided to start here before further exploring other clubs in the city) and because of their offer the place was absolutely packed!
way too many people, the music didn't have the best beats to dance to, and we ended up only having two free drinks, and wasting a couple of hours time, which really wasn't worth it
absolutely love the location and venue - especially how it overlooks swanston st and the state library, great for after or pre dinner drinks, or for a quick catch up lunch (they have $4 pizzas - amazing value!)
the atmosphere is superb, very oriental, some areas darker in others - accommodating for the type of mood you're looking for
some of their drinks are pretty decent, alright prices
sometimes it gets too busy, as it's a pretty casual place
Approximate cost: $20
this place doesn't just take weddings, went here for a science club ball, so it was generally from ages 12 - 25 (the people who attended)
we had one of the smaller rooms, which was quite nice
great location: close to public transport and a lot of parking spaces (we drove there) absolutely loved the fact that it really was by the yarra, we would go outside to the dock after dancing for some cool views and breeze
food was decent, toilets were clean
wasn't a fan of the photographer though, but oh well
Approximate cost: $80
the venue doesn't just take weddings - went here for a uni event (engineering ball) and it wasn't too bad
bar was placed conveniently close to our table, security was superb and i absolutely loved the amount of space for dancing - so it was pretty roomy given the amount of students that attended
cons would be: food could have been better, and wasn't a big fan of the toilets though
Approximate cost: $80
was really close to where i used to live, great service and quality
pizzas are pretty decent and affordable, staff are alright
location would definitely be the best factor for hungry mouth pizza, i find it to be a very community oriented pizza place which is great
Approximate cost: $20
my old go-to place while waiting for the train or when meeting up with someone, staff are nice and friendly but chips were always a bit soggy whenever i buy them, great range of food though from chicken to salads to friend dimsims, etc.
Approximate cost: $15
went here for a pit stop before shopping at harbourtown, had a cocktail (toblerone) which was quite nice but a bit pricey
the location was great, had a sunny spot where we sat, absolutely gorgeous view and great atmosphere inside (loved the fire decorations)
Approximate cost: $20
went here for a quick drink break with an old friend, absolutely loved the atmosphere, they weren't joking when they said it was an irish pub - seating was pretty decent as well, some were in corners, which were more private
decent location, pretty clean
