I love this store. Whenever I find myself at that end of town I always pop by for a look. It's quite a small store but there is so much packed in and the staff certainly know their stuff. I love that there is a real focus on eco friendly stock as well. It's not the cheapest around, but it makes me feel good to know that I'm paying for sustainable products made ethically. Great for gifts too.

As I was waiting for a bus yesterday, I noticed a cupcake shop I hadn't seen before. It was past closing time so I was sadly looking in the window when one of the staff closing notices me and came out with a box and asked would I like to have it. Seriously, as if that was a real question, who wouldn't like a box of cupcakes? He wouldn't even take my money since they were the end of the day cupcakes. Anyway, I took them home and shared them with the family. Delicious! As I didn't get to select the ones I would have, I got a lucky dip and I'm the lucky one. My favourite was the apple crumble cupcake. Genius idea! Cupcake bakery, you've got my visit whenever I'm up that end of town and need a sweet treat!

The Annerley Aquarium is a bit of a landmark with the bright blue building standing out on the corner of a busy intersection. Once inside there is a huge array of fishy gadgets, from tanks to filters and things I can't even name. They have a couple of sections for the fish, divided into salt water and not. The range seems quite good but the big thing is the fish are obviously healthy and well looked after. The staff there really know their stuff and are happy to answer any questions. Great service, mid range value and decent fish quality. Make sure you pay a visit to the giant store pet gourami in the tank in the front section. He may look scary and ugly but he's full of personality and I swear he understands when you talk to him!

This review is for Three Monkeys Coffee & Tea House, West End QLD

This place is a bit of a West End institution. I love that it's like a rabbit warren inside - all dark decor and twisty paths leading to quite an airy outdoor seating area.

You order and pay at the front counter and then your food is brought to you. I always go for the cakes so I can't comment on anything savoury. The cakes though - delicious, especially when served with a bucket sized cup of chai tea. Value is not especially fantastic but the quirkiness of the location makes up for it.

I love that there is a selection of board games you can pick up and take to your table. They don't rush you in and out which is odd for such a prime West End location.

Definitely worth a visit.

I can't believe I'm only just discovering this place! From the outside, it looks like a little narrow hole in the wall coffee place. But if you walk inside, there is a set of stairs leading upstairs to a nice spacious seating area.

The coffee blend is great and the prices are a welcome relief from some of the stores that overcharge immensely. Loyalty cards give you every 6th coffee free instead of the usual 11th, so that is also a plus.

My only complaint is that we had our coffees there, and they forgot one of the orders and needed to be reminded - by which time the rest of the team had nearly finished theirs. Small complaint as they were very busy at the time, so I won't let it stop me visiting again!

Can't complain about this place really - it's the budget end of Chinese therapy, made accessible to people who maybe wouldn't usually try it. You get what you pay for - a functional appointment in as relaxing an environment as is possible in a busy shopping centre. I had a headache that I couldn't shake and I had some spare time so I thought why not get some acupuncture? It definitely made me feel better, and the enforced relaxation was also nice too. Staff were professional, although I agree with the previous reviewer that English, while passable, is not their strong suit.

If you want to use a health fund rebate, make sure you let them know as not all of the staff have this service available.

I went here for a microdermabrasion session and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Staff were professional and very knowledgable, and answered all of the questions that I had. The session was very comfortable - the equipment was clean and the therapist definitely knew what she was doing. I walked out feeling very polished with skin refreshed and clear. I booked under a special deal that they were having, so I also received a vitamin treatment and a take home scrub as well - great value! They're quite hard to get lunch time or after work appointments with, so they're obviously very popular, with good reason too.

This review is for Funkis, Sydney NSW

Whenever I'm in Sydney, a visit to the Funkis store is always a must. I love their clogs. This seems an odd sort of thing to say, but they're not the clunky clogs you picture when someone says 'clog' but actually very fashionable shoes. They come in all sorts of different styles and I love them all. Not the best value, so I tend to only buy when they're on sale. Service is fantastic though - both in store and online. I love browsing through the store in general - fantastic brands and plenty of really quirky little finds. Great quality too.

This is a favourite of mine whenever I have a Korean food craving. It sounds weird, but my favourite dish is the sweet potato noodles. Of all the things noodles could be made of, sweet potato isn't one that comes to mind first, but these are delicious! Service is quick and basic, but you come here for the food, not conversation from the waiters. Probably the best Korean in Brisbane, and fantastic value as well!

I've been here for both regular yum cha and a wedding event. I have to say that I prefer the regular yum cha. The food is fresh, fast and comes out hot at yum cha but at the wedding, I guess catering for 200 people is pretty difficult to schedule timings for. Food here is typical Hong Kong style (which I like) but if you expect fabulous service, this isn't the place to get it. While the waiters are perfectly polite, they definitely don't go above and beyond. Value is probably on par with any yum cha place in Australia. If you are vegetarian, as always you will need to special order your food as if you wait for it to come around on the trolleys you will be sadly disappointed (and hungry!)
