Hubby and I went here for breakfast a few weeks ago and were really impressed! I was thrilled that this lovely establishment had vegan options listed on on their menu. Great atmosphere and very popular. It really is a hidden gem; Blackwood would benefit from a few more places like this one!
This is a not for profit group who sell jewellery made by young women who have escaped the world of sexual slavery. I met the Destiny Rescue staff/volunteers at our Adelaide Show this week and was really impressed with the work they are doing and the beautiful jewellery they were selling. I hope they continue to do great work.
Haven't ever been here before and found a large range of products, but was quite crowded. Slow service, but pleasing to see more local products than you see in larger supermarkets. I appreciate the fact that Romeo's support SA in many ways.
We have been here a number of times and the service has always been good. Great position and decent parking. Would love to see a breakfast menu with more selection ( and a vegan option!), but generally very pleasant. Not too expensive either which is pleasing.
Huge range of items and a decent fresh vegie section also. Large shop, too crowded but pleasant staff. Would love to see a better display in the shop windows (may help them to sell more too!) as it never changes and was quite grotty last week.
Very open and spacious store, yet it has a lot of stock! Would be great to see the building renovated (or at least some new paint and carpet!). Pleasant staff and an ok range of snacks and DVD's to purchase as well as hire. Decent carpark and good opening hours.
Hubby and I went here for tea last night. We have been here a number of times before, but last night was shocking. No vegan options (fine), but staff/chef could only offer a salad for dinner. Could not alter any vegetarian dish and very uninterested in trying. Hubby disappointed with his chicken schnitzel with pathetic salad (he had some of mine!). We won't be returning.
Approximate cost: $20
A pleasant little cafe with fantastic opening hours! Would be great to see more vegan options available, but pleasant service and decent prices. A little noisy as it was very busy but we enjoyed our breakfast. Only concern was how the manager spoke poorly to a staff member in front of us....
Approximate cost: $10
Dodgy little store in Hindley Street! Friendly service, large store with lots of clothes and many would find a bargain here. I picked up a couple of items, but not in a grand hurry to return.
Approximate cost: $15
An awesome little 'hippy' store where you would least expect to find it! Picked up a lovely top today and had a nice chat with the genuine shop assistant. I encourage everyone to have a browse in this store as they have a wide range of clothes, jewellery, hair accessories & bags.
