The vibe and the atmosphere if this place is amazing! Not even mentioning the great food and service. I've been there 2-3 times, all for different occasions and every time it was great. At first I just had coffee and sandwich by myself, then came back with friends for a get together and later had my farewell from work there. Everyone loved it. Great European cuisine. My background is Russian and I have to say the cabbage rolls tasted exactly like my mums- which is a great compliment! Not one thing I didn't like on the menu- fantastic variety. I tried to recreate one of their simpler salads at home, but turned out nothing like theirs still.
Prices are ok for that area, could be a bit cheaper, but not that expensive, plus the food is very filling.
The quirky dress code is also a bonus, combined with the decor. Very cozy and intimate.
Will surely go back- one of my favorite places!

This is a great place to go to if you've had a big, active day and you are starving. Country-style meals, with a very wide selection- from home made pizzas to fresh oysters to soups, souvlaki, and parmigiana. Great big plates -we usually have more than enough by just ordering the entré.
There is a bit of a wait usually- but it's a huge place, so understandable. Very nice and warm in winter, with lots of parking outside. In summer- there is an outside area. Prices are very reasonable.
In short- don't expect a five-star quality meals. This is not a fancy restaurant. But a hearty meal- sure.

I went to have my hair cut and colored. Asked for lots of layers, chunky style. Got a very smooth well layered cut. Well cut- but not really what I've asked for. Also got a color, which the hairdresser suggested. Looked great but too suttle for me.
I think they have great skills but didn't really listen to what I wanted. Also the hairdresser kinda avoided me and talked to someone else most of the time, which didn't make me feel welcome. As for the money I paid? WOW! Way too much! Not happy, Jen.

I had to go to Canberra (from Melbourne) for a wedding and after reading the Vogue thread on-line, where people recommended a hairdresser there I booked myself to Michael (who's supposed to be good with long hair) at Edge for cut and color.
Michael told me that he could book me in for that day but someone else would do my color, which was fine by me!
Andre (supposedly great with short hair cuts on the forum) ended up doing my color (his suggestion) and it turned out great! He's a great character. I found all the staff were really nice actually and I got a great coffee!
Michael did a version of a Nicole Ritchie cut for me, cutting most of my hair off, cos I had it really long before. I loved it! Lots of chunky layers (which is what my hair needs) and great shape! It felt like he knew what he was doing and he didn't make me nervous- he was confident in his work.
I'll definately be back there if I'm back in Canberra. It was cheaper than I thought too! I think $175.

I have been a customer of Theresa (the owner of the salon) for over 2 years now. I have started doing waxing and then went with IPL (permanent hair removal)
I have not been a perfect customer, changing my appointments, sometimes even short notice, but Theresa and staff have always been very nice about it and gave me the first available appointment after. Theresa even squeezed me in at the end of the day once, which made her day longer.
With service as such all the staff there are very nice and always very helpful. But I have to say that Theresa is the only one to go to for IPL, not any other staff member. I had someone else once and it was more painful, because they didn't shave me well before they started the treatment (that makes it more painful).
Overall, I am a very satisfied customer! Theresa even told me I could skip a session or two because the IPL was working so well (which saved me money). They are very busy there but I am not surprised. They are a gem of a place and I still go there even though I've moved away from the area.
