This review is for Cafe Fresh, Charlestown NSW

I dined here recently for morning tea and had a cappuccino and their 'in house chocolate brownie'. The Brownie was delicious and did taste quite fresh, and it was also of a generous size which was great, as I am often disappointed with the tiny portion sizes of slices at cafes sometimes! The coffee tasted decent too and was nice and hot how I like it. They were fairly busy looking at the time that I went there, but they still didn't take all that long to bring out my brownie. The prices are about average for most things, although the slices and the brownie prices were a little bit on the dearer side of things. Overall I found this place to be good, and it is handy to have morning tea or lunch here when in Charlestown square as it is in a quieter corner upstairs and I find it more peaceful than the food court!

This review is for Charlestown Skin And Laser Clinic, Charlestown NSW

I recently went here to get two areas of my body treated with hair reduction laser. The therapist was very professional and the facility looked clean and up-market, and the laser they used looked to be in good condition. They also took all the appropriate safety precautions like getting me to wear safety glasses and using gel on the areas before they were lasered. Before treating me they got me to fill out forms about my medical history etc and gave me written instructions about after care for my skin so I felt that they were being appropriately cautious, which is good. The laser wasn't turned up uncomfortably high, I only felt a little tingle in one area while being treated and barely felt anything at all in the other area. The prices were very reasonable too compared to other hair reduction places even in the same area, which was great. I haven't had any side effects or irritation from the treatment and I would defiantly recommend this place based on my experiences so far.

I have dined here a few times and every time the food has been of a consistent high quality and very tasty. I would certainly recommend the Thai green Curry and the sweet and sour battered pork and I have also had the combination meat and vegetable dish which I think they call combination chow mein a few times and it has always been nice too. They don't take too long to prepare the food and the prices are reasonable also. I always go there whenever I'm in the area!

This review is for One Tree Coffee Co, Charlestown NSW

I went to One Tree coffee Co recently when I was shopping at Charlestown Square. I ordered a latte and a citrus tart. The service was friendly and really fast, which was great, especially compared to many of the other coffee shops in the centre where I have often found myself waiting a long time even for just a coffee. The coffee was creamy and well made, it was nice and hot too. The tart was quite nice and tangy, and overall I would rate this place highly among the coffee shops in this area. The cafe is only small and tends not to have a huge range of foods, but it is great for a quick snack or morning tea. Please note the number provided for this cafe is just the general line for the shopping centre it is in, as they don't seem to have a phone number listed.

I went here with my hubby and daughter and extended family for a short break recently. We were all impressed with the amount of activities available on site and the facilities as it is off in the bush area in a small country town. There was canoeing in the river and horse riding, so we all went canoeing and my daughter went horse riding and she had lots of fun! This place is pet friendly too, so we were able to take our little Maltese dog which was great. There is a kiosk and a restaurant and a cafe on site, and the cafe is dog friendly too (but not the restaurant). The surrounds here were quite pretty and we enjoyed going for a bush walk. The facilities and the toilets on site were very clean and decent. Prices was reasonable. Surprisingly though even in winter this place was very popular and a bit overcrowded with people, but still very good.

This review is for One Mile Beach Tourist Park, Anna Bay NSW

I have stayed at the one mile holiday park a few times over the years and most recently I stayed there for the weekend with my daughter and extended family. My child is 10 and she really enjoyed this place. There was plenty of on site activities to keep her entertained, they had a decent clean swimming pool with a slide in it, putt putt golf and a tennis court and also there is a hall with kids activities. She loved looking at the talking birds they have in an aviary there, and we all were really impressed to see a possum on the first night we were there, it came over and ate out of our hands, it was very tame! The next night was more of a treat as another possum came around which let us pat it. Overall we had a great time and the facilities were great and the quick access gate to the beach and the coffee shop and restaurant right next door was handy too. We will defiantly go back there! It can be a little pricey though compared to other parks.

I dined here for a late breakfast with my friend. I had the french toast which was topped with apple, dates, some sweet creamy cheese and there was some kind of custard around it. Mine was very tasty and sweet and I really enjoyed this unusual variety of cheese and the dates for something different. I had not had french toast like this before, especially as it seemed to be made with a very dense kind of toast, possibly sour dough. In any case it was very nice and surprisingly filling. My friend had a savoury mushroom and egg dish and she enjoyed hers too. This place had a quirky atmosphere and some unusual decor and light fittings which I liked too. The food didn't take very long to come out at all and was reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and pretty attentive. Overall this place was a good find!

I dined here with a large group for my friends birthday. She had been here a few times but it was my first visit. I ordered a traditional style Pizza which came with anchovies, which I rarely see in pizza toppings so I thought I would try it for something different. It had a thin style crust and was satisfying and absolutely delicious, even the anchovies were nice, they are salty but don't have as strong of a fishy taste as what I would have imagined. I could see why she liked it! We also got some herb and garlic breads to share which were also very yummy. The prices are about average for a gourmet pizza. Because we had a large group we had to wait a while for the food to come out but it wasn't an extremely long time and since there were a few orders I didn't mind it. They defiantly have one of the best traditional pizzas that I have tried at Verde Luna.

I dined here with my family including my toddler niece and nephew. It was great that they had a small closed in play area which was well suited to very young children, and was located in the corner of the dining area so that we could watch them from where we were sitting. I had some cappuccino and slices, and I was impressed with the variety of sweets and desserts, and that they were quite tasty, so much so that I had two different ones! Before my most recent visit I hadn't been there for a while, and so I was happy to see that they now do have a café area next to the bistro. The service was reasonable and I didn't wait long for my order to be ready.

This review is for The Kent Hotel, Hamilton NSW

I have been to the Kent a few times, and most recently I went there with a friend who lives in Hamilton. It appeared that they had undergone renovations here since I last visited, and I like the new layout, it looks modern and spacious. We had lunch here and I got a seafood basket battered seafood dish with chips. The serving size was quite decent and the food was tasty and served nice and hot and was quite filling. I very much enjoyed mine. We didn't have to wait too long for the food to be ready and the staff were friendly enough. This is a good place for a nice hearty pub meal I have always found. The prices are reasonable and the quality is decent, and there is also a specials board available most of the times I have visited. All in all it is fairly typical hotel cuisine but I have always enjoyed it.
