The ladies at Progressive Heads did my wedding hair and make-up. As I didn't have any particular styles in mind for my bridesmaids, they were able to create styles that reflected their personalities as well as incorporate the hair clips I provided.
The make-up was natural looking and light, yet looked amazing in the photos. They made a special day go very smoothly.

When finding a place in the Hunter Valley to have dinner, we discovered Blaxlands Inn and were sold on the free courtesy bus which picked us up from our resort. The driver went to the wrong entrance to our resort and the staff were extremely apologetic and provided us with complementary drinks to make up for the mixup.
Their meals were divine. Upon the driver's recommendation, we had the garlic prawns as an entree. They were mouthwatering and sensational. The main meals were just as superb! A definite must to dine at!

This is a good place to spoil yourself. My husband and I stayed at the resort and had a couples session at the day spa. Beautiful setting to stay in.
The spa was amazing. I loved the hydrobath and the retreat you can use prior or after staying. I wish you had access to the retreat area if you were staying at the resort.
We did find the accomodation a bit pricey and wished there were packages if you stayed at the hotel and had treatments as well.

This is a cute little cafe with reasonably priced meals. I love all of the cakes in their display window. It has a good atmosphere and friendly staff.

I love eating here. The meals are always of a high standard. I especially love the coffee in a bowl and the chocolate fondue.
Staff friendliness depends on who you get. Some staff are lovely and other staff completely ignore you. Unfortunately, we tend to get the latter more often than the former.

Nice place, good atmosphere. Food is average, if you like your meat drowned in sauce. Drinks are reasonably priced. Staff are friendly. A good meeting point for a local drink.

We don't order Chinese often but this place was amazing. We ordered takeaway. They offer 10% off for takeaway over $25. When we arrived to pick it up it was hot and ready.
My husband's Laksa was MASSIVE! He had enough for the next day. Our other meals were delicious.

Great for home delivery, but remember to have cash available. Meals arrive hot but take a while.
Not much room for eating in. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes great.

Great little local pizza restaurant. Not many tables for eating in. Great prices and fantastic tasting pizzas. They have some meal deals that are great value for money. The staff were friendly and even boxed the leftover pizzas is separate boxes so that the flavours did not mix.

A great local Italian restaurant. Theh $15 Wednesday pizza and pasta deal is great value. The servings of pasta are large and the pizzas are a small size, however, I can never finish both.
Friendly service. It is best to book in advance for a table.
