Beautiful interiors and amazing selection of French food and wine in a cozy atmosphere. They also have a great coffee. The greeting of 'bonjour' on entering the store was enough for me to know that I was in for a treat. Very friendly (French) and helpful staff and a truly unique experience in Prahran

I was getting a bit sick of the vegetarian options at Grill'd so I thought I would try a vegetarian burger at Urban Burger. They only had a couple of options but all sounded absolutely delicious. The one I picked was just as tasty as it sounded and very large and filling. I also got a side of chips but they were a little disappointing compared to Grill'd chips.

I have been here for breakfast, lunch, coffee and even late night drinks. Every occasion has been great and I have never had a bad experience at Yellowbird. The food is delicious and large, I recommend the poached eggs with spinach and pumpkin or one of their awesome mexican style foods like the nachos (which come in a huge serving so you can easily share it between a few people). They also have a good range of beers. The music is always really good and the staff are friendly and laid back (which sometimes means slow service but its worth the wait).

This review is for IGA, Windsor VIC

For a local small supermarket / convenient store, IGA Windsor does a good job. They have a small deli section with a good, fresh range of food. They also have a few varieties of everything you might need. Their beer and wine section is quite good though, they have a lot of variety and reasonable prices for beer which isn't something I would expect in a small supermarket normally. Their staff are also friendly though not that helpful.

This review is for Greville Dental, Prahran VIC

I had to get 4 wisdom teeth removed. The dentist was very professional and friendly and removed the teeth as painlessly as possible. He was very reassuring and caring during the process and I'm very satisfied with the job he did. They were also able to fit me in within a week of making the appointment and for subsequent appointments which was a nice change to having to book in months in advance.

This review is for The Essential Ingredient, South Yarra VIC

verified email - 30 May 2009

I had a recipe that included a few ingredients that normal supermarkets did not stock and I had heard that The Essential Ingredient stocked a lot of hard to find food things. I went in to the beautifully large store, stocked to the brim with interesting foods and had to ask where the items I wanted were. The store assistant was really rude about needing her to show me where this item was and when I asked her what the difference was between two seemingly similar products she was again very rude and treated me like I was dumb for asking a question about a unusual/specialty product I had never even seen before. Very disappointing experience.

This review is for Coffee HQ, Prahran VIC

Going to University means you drink a lot of coffee to stay awake. Luckily Coffee HQ is actually PART of the Swinburne Campus in Prahran. They are open early in the morning in time to get a coffee before class and close at a good time in the evening to give you time to have some food there or a last minute coffee. I usually order a Late and find that they are consistently OK. Not great but perfectly fine. Their selection of pastries and toasted focaccias are pretty good though. This place has seen me through some long days!

This review is for Video Busters, Prahran VIC

I love watching movies but most big video renters like Blockbuster or Video City don't have a big range other than the big name movies. Video Busters have an awesome collection of new movies as well as art house, documentary, film festival award wining films and unusual or old TV series. They are also very cheap.

This review is for Mag Nation, Prahran VIC

I really like well made magazines, not the ones you can normally find in your local newsagent. I mean very niche, hard to find, specific magazines that look great and have awesome articles. So whenever I hear about some new magazine online that sounds good the first place I check is Mag Nation, after all they are an entire store dedicated to these mags. Their staff are cool and also really chilled out, letting you browse through anything and you can even get a coffee and use their free wireless internet while in the store.

This review is for Alphaville, Prahran VIC

I wanted some simple, cool new clothes so went to have a look for something interesting in Alphaville on Chapel street. They have some pretty sweet guys and girls clothes all of which are pretty pricey but look individual and cool. I found a t-shirt that was perfect and didn't get bugged by shop people while I was just browsing which is always nice.
