I had my car serviced here, $79 was a fair price and they were local. I normally take my car to a mechanic in Berwick but I wish I went there! A problem with my muffler was not picked up on at all, and the cap on my radiator was left loose. This caused my car to overheat on the way to Anglesea. I don't want to know if anything else was done incorrectly.

I can't comment on their Brakes services, but their general service is best avoided.

The roof lining in my station wagon was falling off, thus the roof lining needed replacement. Mega Trim in Dandenong did a great job replacing the roof lining, and the job was done in 24 hours.

It set me back $330 which I felt was steep, but this company have a great reputation and the work was guaranteed.

This review is for Funky Curry 2, Melbourne VIC

Funky Curry 2, sister store to Funky Curry on Bourke Street opened on King Street just under a year ago and has exploded in popularity and with good reason.

Here you'll find good value, excellent food and a funky atmosphere - there's an LCD screen playing highlights of Bollywood movies and walls scrawled with facts about India in texta.

You can get a serving of rice, 3 curries, papad, naan and a drink for only $9 - unbeatable value. There's also a large menu if you'd like something different and a range of delicious sweets. The proprietor of the restaurant is a jolly man who says hello to everyone and goes out of his way to make sure you're happy - you'll oft find him saying he loves all his customers and he means it!

Beware - the place is so popular these days, it'll get very crowded during the lunch hours.

Check out some of the imported Indian soft drinks while you're there.

Approximate cost: $10

This review is for High & Mighty, Big & Tall, Glen Waverley VIC

Being a tall guy has it's ups and downs - the big downer being how hard it is finding clothes that fit. Fortunately, High & Mighty at the Glen always have a great range of business attire, jeans and shirts. There's always new stock coming in. Disappointing is the range of shoes, generally just dull leather numbers and the stock doesn't seem to change often.

The customer service is generally good, from time to time I haven't been happy with lack of attention and knowledge about the range of clothes.

It's worth signing up for the catalogue, there's always included vouchers that can save you anywhere between $20-200 depending how much you spend on your visit.

This review is for Payal Indian Restaurant, Dandenong VIC

verified email - 22 Jun 2008

The southern end of Foster Street 'Little India' has plenty of Indian restaurnts, but Payals is by far the best so far. Payal's may not be the most elegant of restaurants, but the food is out of this world and the proprietor Prakash is a very accommodating host.

Keep an eye for the lunchtime special Tues-Fri - A curry, rice, papad, naan bread and drink for $7.50.

Approximate cost: $11
