We go here a lot for a pub meal, the food is top notch and of better standard than most pubs at a similar price. Great friendly staff and good service all round.
Pinball and pool and an open fire make it a great venue for groups as well as a cosy night on a date.

This bakery is excellent. I go almost every weekend to buy bread and perhaps a pastry of two. The homemade sausage rolls are big and tasty. Doubles up as a bar on sunny weekends serving beers through the little bar window. Great coffee too. Sit outside in the sun or at the tables under the trees, or inside by the wood fired pizza oven on a colder day. Can be busy on weekends and is usually a few families with kids enjoying the convents grounds and the Collingwood children's farm.
Overall a great spot with a whole range of breads, pastries, and pizzas with a variety of beverage options.

I drive past here a lot and they are always cheaper than any other servo's nearby. With a Coles docket it is even better and they offer all fuel options including green fuels.

Always busy, friendly, and great produce. So much choice for all the imported Portuguese and Spanish classics.
We get our Xmas ham there every year. They stock Istra small good smoked hams on the bone which are the best money can buy, and they only mark-up a fraction compared with a regular butcher or supermarket.

Not many options for money hungry Xmas tree vendors in Dec, but the guys selling trees from the RSPCA are good value and give a bit to charity.
Scouts are the only other option unless you wanna pay $20 a foot.

Went for dinner and beers with some friends. Had a table out in the beer garden. Hadn't been for years and it hasn't changed. Great vibe inside and a band playing front of house which is a regular thing. Friendly staff and nothing but a good time.

Great pizza. Beats the regular take-away's hands down. Best ordering system around. Call ahead to pick-up and when you arrive, your name is on the screen to advise how long you have to wait. Which is not long as they are accurate!
Seafood pizza's are the best i've had.

Meredith festival is no glass! You'd be surprised at the small selection in cans, but this place was amazing. Anything and everything that is available in cans, they had it. The regulars of course, Carlton, VB, Fosters, but the bonuses were the Mexican beers as well as a few European choices. And all in cans. Amazing to find this gem after many a search of the unhelpful sterile bigger chain stores.
Even premixed spirits were abundant in cans including the hard to find Jack n dry and the early morning festival number, Gordon's G&T with a dash of lemon (again, all in the handy cans). A ripper store with helpful staff and happy to do discounts on bulk buying even on decent regular prices.

Struggled to find the tank I was after without import costs and shipping from interstate from other aquarium suppliers but these guys had all the goods. Great store with a great selection. Staff were very helpful indeed, very knowledgeable and knew their stuff.

Go for beers or a glass of wine. More often a pretty quiet atmosphere with very helpful and friendly staff. Good selection of all beers wines and spirits, and the menu in the bar is faultless in its variety for a pub with some standards, a few nice surprises and a good specials board.
Jazz on Sunday arvo's and if you're lucky, the bloke next door often has the telescope out on the pavement for any romantic stargazers, and a meat tray raffle for the RCH on Fridays at 7pm.
A great spot.
