As a landlord I had my property with them for two years. They did not conduct routine enough inspections, and as such did not advise me or fix some of the major maintenance issues (tenant fist through a bathroom door, fences falling down) and rarely returned my calls or emails and only advised our tenants were moving out a week or two before they did - even though they knew before that point. Even the next door neighbour called them to ask about paying half of the fence costs, but Guardian did not advise me that the fence had even fallen down, let alone that the neighbour was trying to contact us and was willing to negotiate it's repair.

I have been going here for a while and was very happy - my only complaint was the lack of a head massage. This time I used a special that included eyebrow shape and tint and a half head of foils. My eyebrows weren't touched or mentioned at all, and they forgot to tone my colour. So on top of $165 for a half head of foils I had to pay a different hairdresser to put a toner in it. I didn't notice at the time because my hair was left wet (my choice). In the sunlight and when my hair dried, I had white stripes that workmates commented on. To be fair I could have contacted them and organised to have it fixed, but I prefered to pay and get it fixed straight away, and I'm not one to give places a second chance. Apart from the colour, the cut is always good. But, off somewhere new tonight so fingers crossed.

Approximate cost: $165

I went to see Joy to have some horrendous drag queen eyelash extensions removed (removal service approx $30). She took them off so carefully and gently and managed to save most of my own eyelashes. She offered to put a few eyelashes back on for me to show me how they were supposed to look and feel. Of course I just wanted the black plastic I had on my lashes off because it hurt - and I was very nervous saying 'yes' again to extension - but I was blown away - they look and feel so very natural - I am really really happy with the service offered here - so much so that I have already made another appointment to go back and have some 'natural' looking lashes put on. That's pretty good for someone who swore black and blue they would never do it again!

I went to Temple of Beauty for eyelash extensions, after telling them how awful my first experience was and asking for something natural. I came away with thick, black, plastic lashes that were so obviously false, and that were all glued together. When my eyelashes grew out at different rates the glue pulled and tugged at my eyelid and they really hurt. The person who did them said she did them longer than I asked for because she knew I'd say they weren't long enough - and she glued them all together to make them look nice!!!

Everyone who looked at me said nothing for the first few minutes and would look away - and then said "What have you done?" They were awful. The term 'drag queen' was used quite often!

A week later they hurt so much and looked so bad I paid to have them removed at a different salon - with a lady who gave me a few free lashes - on individual lashes - to show me what they were supposed to look like - I was hesitant - I really wanted the drag queen look gone - but she made them look and feel so natural and so good - nobody can tell the difference between my lashes and the extension, and they don't hurt at all - just as I wanted in the first place.

Approximate cost: $100.00
