Really good food at a good price. Friendly staff. Only one vegetarian option for a Main, which was a little disappointing but good vegie options under Entrees. Their signature soufflé for dessert was delightful and well worth the 15min cooking time. Coffee was excellent. A good find.
Menu has lots of unusual offerings and combinations with plenty of great vegetarian options. They use organic produce where possible. Food was great; nice and quiet; laid-back comfy décor. Had the Tali plate which was delicious. Will be heading back for breakfast. They try to make everything from scratch - so it's really fresh food. Great place.
Tried the big breakfast. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I'd chosen the brioche bread for the toast - it was thick and tasted great. The wilted spinach was also just right and not over-cooked. Same for the mushrooms. A nice touch to have the baked beans in a small separate bowl on the plate so that they didn't spill over onto the rest of the food (and make the toast soggy). Tried a watermelon/apple/lime juice which was a perfect palate cleanser but also just plain delicious and went really with my food although I'd planned to order coffee originally. Finished the meal with a coffee, which was excellent. Their small fruit tarts and cakes are hard to beat if you just want coffee and something to munch on. A really good place to go for breakfast out - plenty of variety on the menu. Have recommended it to all my friends.
Really nice offerings at a reasonable cost. Tiny place but good food. Tables out front for nice weather. I went for breakfast. My toast was thick and crispy; the poached eggs were beautifully cooked (not everyone does this well) and the coffee was very good. Service was quick as well. It's on a busy street but tons of local parking available.
My main course - Channa masala - was very generous portion-wise. The flavour was absolutely delicious and best of all it was all chick peas/vegetable with just the right amount of curry sauce, unlike other places which have lots of sauce and a small amount of chick peas/vegetable. My friend chose a prawn curry which she said was amazingly good. The mains all came with saffron rice as part of the meal which was a pleasant surprise. The garlic naan was delicious. Service was attentive. A small restaurant, spotlessly clean, not much by way of décor, but I went for the food and I'm definitely going there again to try other dishes.
I never have to look around for a waitperson. The menu arrives on my table within minutes quickly followed by a water bottle and glasses. If I've booked ahead the menus and water are already set up. Wait staff are attentive and informed. The food is always served amazingly quickly and it is always good. Yummy selection of small cakes if all you want is cake and coffee. Never had a disappointing meal from them. Have recommended it to all my friends.
Friendly vibe, fast service with a smile. Really good coffee and food choices. They greet regulars by name (nice!) and remember coffee preferences. Owner works hard at continuous improvement and welcomes feedback (so refreshing to find an owner who cares!)
