Portrait place is welcoming and inviting. The staff are helpful and friendly. I have had pregnancy photos done there, as well as photos of three kids, and the baby on its own. In all instances they have tried hard to get a good range of shots to choose from. The photographers vary so you can't be certain who you will get on a particular day. But in my experience all are quite good.
The downside to Portrait Place is the cost! They charge through the nose for photos, and although the quality is good, the price is off putting. I have recently started using my little digital camera and various online printing shops to get similar photos at a fraction of the cost! The typical 'package' which they try (very hard) to sell to you is $650! I printed 6 beautiful photos of my little baby made into a canvas, ready to hang, for $20 from an online printing shop. WOW. Big difference.
Portrait place have the good staff, good service and nice set up with different backgrounds, but they need to update their pricing!

Approximate cost: $650

The BEST online book store. Service to Australia is free, although you have to rely on the speed of the postal service of course. It can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks to arrive. BUT, the books are so cheap, and the range is so good that it is well worth it! I rarely buy from anywhere else, and I always check book depository first! Highly, highly recommended!

The sales at Myer, Sunshine Plaza are pretty good. Prices usually are high-end, as you'd expect. Service is generally pretty good - I can highly recommend the service in the toy department. They will help you find particular items and offer suggestions for birthdays. Childrens clothing and shoes (childrens and adults) are worth checking during the sales - some very good buys! School shoes from $8! Wow!
I also had excellent service from the photo frame counter, where a lovely salesperson helped me to find the perfect gift for a friend - was umming and arhing about a particular $30 frame when she pointed out the sale section, and found another similar item for only $8! What a bargain AND she even wrapped it nicely. Suffice to say, I found a few other 'specials' in that section and finished off a few birthday presents with the money I'd saved.
The shop itself is looking pretty aged. I think they need a revamp. It is also a bit crowded - particularly through fragraces, watches and clothing. Counters are sometimes unattended, especially during late-night shopping on a Thursday, which is very irritating. Also, staff will sometimes push in front of you or past you when you are looking at items - they need to be reminded about good manners - which would lead to a better feeling of customer service.
Generally I'd recommend as a good place to shop but especially during sale time!

I have visited Hunger Busters often over the last few years. The service has gone downhill - the owners are helpful but the staff they hire are awful! They often mix up orders, serving us things we haven't ordered, or forget things altogether. The food quality is not good. Portion sizes are on the small side. Chips are often served either undercooked or over cooked - during busy times they are simply reheated and taste awful. Burgers are ok. Fish is ok. Prices are ok. I have family nearby and it is walking distance to grab a quick lunch or dinner but recently have decided it is better to travel further away and get something nice to eat. There is definitely room for improvement both in customer service and the food quality. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the local shop this time!

These guys do yummy chips! Get them quite often to go with dinner, or as a treat for lunch. Cooked to perfection.
The service is a bit iffy - usually friendly and helpful - but sometimes not so much. Burgers are a bit so-so. My friend had the fish the other day and said it was great. Good sized portions, and good prices.
They need more seating!

I have shopped here regularly for the past few years (10 + times over 5 years). The upside is that the service is good - helpful, polite, friendly. The downside is that the prices are high, and they are a bit pushy about selling things that aren't really necessary. The carseat range is quite good, and they help with fitting, even after a year when you need to turn bub to face the front.
BE AWARE that the website prices differ markedly from instore - if you buy instore without checking the website you may be ripped off by quite a lot - that said, if you buy from the website you will have to pay postage charges since they don't offer a store pick up! Ridiculous! This is one of the reasons I have stopped shopping there recently, I can't stand a rip off!
Overall, recommend this store only for the service, otherwise there are many other places to buy baby items at reasonable prices!

I took my three kids (aged 5, 3 and almost 1) to The Internet Sweet as a special school holiday experience. The service was good - helpful, polite and not pushy in the least. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices too. The kids LOVED all the beautiful displays of lollies (not just the usual stuff from the supermarkets either) and picked a few each to take to the park and nibble. I tried the coconut ice (delicious!) and a humbug (oh my goodness, yum!) Very high quality lollies and sweets. Highly impressed. I recommend this store as a special experience for youngsters or a treat for adults! We will return regularly.

I have used Baby Beehinds for two of my children. The bamboo and hemp fitteds with covers for the first child, and then re-using those for my second child along with a good stash of magicalls - both smooth and minky. My 2 year old still wears magicalls at night which works really well. I also used their bamboo fold ups as a prefold style nappy for my babies when they were little, and then in pocket nappies (other brand) for over night.

The service at Baby Beehinds is exceptional. They are polite, friendly, helpful and quick to respond to emails. I have no regrets about buying from them. They also send out monthly newsletters which contain special offers - well worth signing up for!

The nappies themselves are quite good quality. They are made overseas, unfortunately. They are nicely made, easy to wash and easy to use. The minky nappies are very pretty and snuggly. My children seem to be comfortable in them. The fitteds are especially good for small babies and poo-explosions!
I am generally very happy with these nappies. Although, I have found recently that my newer nappies (6 months old) seem to have problems with the fabric - holes are appearing overnight and after a few washes they simply come apart. I have not found with with other nappies from them though, and expect it is just a bad batch of fabric.
Overall, a very good, helpful, easy way to buy cloth nappies!

Good staff, great rooms, very caring and friendly. I loved using this daycare for my 8 month old baby girl. BUT the cost is very high, and the procedure for booking the days you want is frustrating. After four months I took her out and put her into another day care.
