Had the quail entree here and their bun dat biet (combination vermicelli salad).
Both were excellent and they had the genuinely home made spring rolls, which are slightly different to the generic asian ones.
Drink was a durian smoothie, which was flavourful and delightful
Outstanding is a very understated word to describe this local establishment, with both 'indoor' and outdoor seating.
Indoor: converted shipping containers. Does this count as indoor?
Outdoor: it's on a grassed area. You can bring the pets and kids.
Food here is morish and there is alcohol for those inclined to have a drink with their food. And it's not just burgers, they have salads and other things too.
This place needs more signage.
You could drive right past this one and never knew it existed. But they are getting signage installed soon, which is good.
The wines here are very good. I don't say that lightly either. The wines here are VERY good.
There's accommodation at this site, so while there's a nice big house at the front, that's for the owners with the smaller housing at the back being for guests.
I would come here again anytime!
Brilliant place, though I've had one instance where the pho was undercooked. But other than this minor blip, their food is impressive and consistent with good offerings of many traditional Vietnamese dishes
They've gone and closed the 'little shop' which had the burgers and all that, and they're working to reopen it. So we went to the main event and while it's pricey, it's definitely worth it. You can see the chefs actually fanning the flames to get that smokey charcoal flavour. You can taste the efforts that's put into making the food. And they have a good wine list.
Not only did I have a good wine, but the maitre'd's knowledge of the drop was phemonenal.
Had a Guinness here and they did a good pour.
Nice velvety head and nice cool beer.
Venue was lovely and it was in such a quaint little town.
Very very nice!
Got there and it was abysmally quiet. Didn't think too much of the place and the menu looked just normal.
But ordered and then people started trickling in. By the time we were half way through our meals, the place was half full and the atmosphere changed significantly.
Got the big breakfast, and while you expect the same old, and it was the same old stuff, the presentation was just oozing old world charm and that rustic sense of satisfaction. Portion sizes were more than generous to boot
Coffee not that good, but the food more than made up for it.
Pretty mediocre. They had two staff that I could see on a Monday and they weren't overly busy. But it took around 45 minutes for our breakfast to come out.
And what did come out, while reasonably tasty, was not a great amount. Was happy eating, but not fully satisfied.
Nice and cozy. Nothing overly wrong with this place, but then again it wasn't exactly somewhere I would see myself on a regular basis.
It's an ok place for the location. I mean what is there really to look for in a pub other than atmosphere and drinks?
There was plenty of both, but it just seemed to be missing something that would give it 5 stars
