Girls Only is a great gift and homewares shop with an array of products suitable for tween girls. It has been my go to shop for several years, and I have always found the quality, service, and value to be of a high standard.

The products are a combination of quality brand names, and lesser known, but still high quality products. They have room decor, jewellery, toys, and other fun, girly things, suitable for generally 4-14 year olds.

The staff are genuinely interested in helping you find the perfect gift, and are happy to give advice on what products are popular.

Price wise, the store is great value, and offers competitive prices on several items.

Sadly, last time I visited the store, it looked fairly empty, perhaps as though it was closing down. I hope this isn't the case, as this has been my go to store for gifts for younger friends and family members for years now.

This review is for Living Jungle Pet Warehouse, Dandenong VIC

I have visited Living Jungle on multiple occassions, purchasing a kitten, goldfish, a bird, and a bunny over the past decade or so.

When we first visited Living Jungle in 2005 or 2006, the store was double its current size; It had a large range of products in a spacious area, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Recently, I feel as though the store has gone downhill.

Firstly, the store is half its original size. Not as many pets for sale (other than perhaps in the aquarium section), and everything seems to be crammed in together. Very hard to maneuver your way around the store, and I imagine it would be impossible to browse with a wheelchair or pram.

In terms of products and product quality, they have a decent range of products for a store of their size, and prices are about average, though nothing special. In terms of actual pets, all of the furry friends we have purchased from Living Jungle have been happy, healthy, and so far have gone on to live long lives. They often include vet checks and a vaccination at the local Dandenong Veterinary Clinic in the price of purchase for cats and dogs, which is greatly appreciated.

I feel as though the staff are not particularly friendly, and many of the current team have very little knowledge of the products they are actually selling; They often give me the impression they are not interested in helping me find what I need.

If I was in desperate need of high quality pet products, I know I could get them from Living Jungle, however otherwise I wouldn't be likely to return.

This review is for Chesterfield Farm, Scoresby VIC

I visited Chesterfield Farm with my family a few months ago, and I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. I had heard it was a "real working farm" however I doubted its authenticity, given it's suburban location.
However, any expectations I had were definitely surpassed, and I genuinely enjoyed my day.

It was exciting for all members of the family - even the teenagers - to experience milking a cow, petting the rabbits and guinea pigs, a tractor ride tour, and helping to feed the animals.

Entry costs were reasonable, and staff were friendly and informative. There was learning all round, even some new fun facts for the adults in the group.

I would definitely recommend this for families with a wide range of ages, from pre-schoolers up, and for anyone looking for a fun and unique day out.

This review is for Keysborough Hotel, Keysborough VIC

I visited the Keysborough hotel with my parents for a lunch in the bistro recently, and I quite enjoyed my experience.
Staff were friendly and seated us promptly, at a table which was spacious. The first thing I noticed was the relaxing atmosphere of the bistro.

My parents ordered a chicken schnitzel & a chicken parma; I too ordered a parma, but requested no ham. Staff were able to meet this request.

Ordering (and drinks) are self serve, as are most places these days, so we ordered and waited patiently for our food - it actually came out quite quickly, and was fresh and tasty; The meals were a perfect size - decently big, without being ridiculously big. They met my dietary requirement for no ham on my parma.

The food was delicious, and the three of us agreed that the chicken was cooked to perfection.

Prices were average for a bistro at a hotel, but good value considering the quality of the meal served.

I would definitely return to try something else on the menu.

This review is for E-tax

As I study full time and also work part-time, I found eTax quick, easy, and accurate to use once I had all relevant documents. Many documents (including Medicare, and my Centrelink summary) were automatically available through the eTax program, and I filled in the missing details; It was easy to go through and fill out the relevant pages; and it gives an accurate estimate of your tax return.

The program is free, a huge bonus, meaning you are not paying an accountant to help with your tax return - the FAQ pages and easy to follow, step-by-step instructions do most of the hard work for you.

Overall, I enjoyed the convenience of this program, and I would definitely use it again.

This review is for Skybus Super Shuttle, Melbourne Airport VIC

verified email - 28 Sep 2013

The Skybus provides a somewhat expensive, however extremely convenient transport service between the Southern Cross Railway Station in Melbourne's CBD, and the Melbourne Airport.

As I don't drive, it can often be hard travelling between the city and the airport (which you would generally take the tollway to). Unlike the public bus which makes several stops and can take 1 or more hours to reach the airport, the Skybus goes directly (via tollway) from the train station and back, and operates every 10-15 minutes.

Tickets can be purchased way ahead of time, and while somewhat expensive, can be put down to the fact that you would be paying tollway fees had you driven to the airport yourself.

The staff are friendly, and the service almost always runs to time. I would definitely recommend it for anyone travelling to and from the Melbourne airport.

This review is for Eden Rise Charcoal Chicken, Berwick VIC

verified email - 28 Sep 2013

I recently stopped into this Charcoal Chicken store after being in the Berwick area. I ordered a serving of chips for myself, as well as some chicken for my family. We found this to be some of the freshest, tastiest charcoal chicken shop food we have ever tried. The chips were crisp and fresh, not too greasy or salty. My family said the chicken was also fresh and tasty, cooked to perfection.

Sadly, we are not local, as we would love to return more often, and definitely would if we were in the area.

Eden Rise Charcoal Chicken is near the Coles grocery store, and therefore there is a large amount of parking in the area.

I would definitely recommend this business to friends.

This review is for Robbo's Pet Barn, Dandenong South VIC

verified email - 28 Sep 2013

My family and I have been regular customers at Robbo's Pet Barn since first purchasing a puppy in 2006.

The staff there have been more than helpful, with accurate advice in caring for the large string of animals to follow (including mice, a bunny, and cats).

They have a great "drive through" barn location, where it is easy to lift heavy items and necessities straight into the car before paying on the way out. They also have several walk through aisles (trolleys provided) filled with things such as toys, food bowls, collars, leashes, and more.

They have a huge variety of brands in stock, one of the biggest varieties I have seen in any pet supply store.

I find that things such as food and health treatments are often cheaper than other places, however some of the toys and fun things at Robbos can be found cheaper in Grocery Stores and even "two dollar" style stores.

I would definitely return, as the range of products, generally above average value, and friendly, helpful service are much appreciated by my family.

This review is for PlayZone, Noble Park VIC

verified email - 28 Sep 2013

PlayZone is great rainy day (or hot summer day) activity for tireless young children, or even better, a fantastic party venue. I visited the indoor playcentre as a party guest many times as a child, and now younger relatives in my family enjoy birthday parties in the same themed rooms I once did.

The themed party rooms (there are five or six) are all much loved by party guests (the DiscoLand room especially, has always been a big hit within my family) and create a unique party while still making use of the huge play space.

PlayZone's playground is one of the biggest indoor playgrounds I have ever seen, and whilst it is not always as clean or quiet as some others in South East Vic, it seems to be the one that is deemed most fun by younger relatives.

Entry fees are relatively cheap, and whilst you cannot bring your own food, the cafe offers a wide range of lunch and snack options. The seated cafe area for parents and older siblings is comfortable, kept warm in winter, and away from the noise of the main playground, without being too far from the toddlers area.

It is also conveniently located near a range of other food options, including Dominos Pizza, McDonald's, Chinese Takeaway, and more, for those wanting to eat lunch before or after going inside.

Overall, it is a great atmosphere for all, and great place for families with children of all ages to catch up. The only downside is that it can be hard to find a parking space on busy days.

This review is for Wotif.com, Milton QLD

verified email - 28 Sep 2013

I recently made a trip to Sydney, and being unfamiliar with accommodation in the area, started searching for hotels with no luck. Then I was recommended Wotif by a friend.

The site allows you to search for a range of hotels in your selected area. You can select your ideal price range or star rating, and the location, and it comes up with a large variety of options. This makes it easy to compare hotels, based on things like hotel and nearby facilities, transport, shopping spots, tourist activities, and more.

I easily found a suitable hotel.

You then have the option of booking your hotel through Wotif (as opposed to the hotel's on website). We found that Wotif offered more competitive pricing (through their own deals) and had the nights we required available.

The hotel we stayed at was true to the description on the website, and met all of our expectations.

Wotif made booking stress-free and convenient, and I would definitely use it again.
