Do Not purchase items from this seller!

Was sold a filter for an aquarium which was set up for over a week before a seal failed causing a leak. When requesting warranty information was informed that the Australian distributor would not cover that particular issue but was referred to them or the manufacturer for more assistance. Both replied that the seller was the guarantor of the warranty which I confirmed through recourse to the ACCC website.

Was not provided with an address to post back item for warranty claim, and correct information was not forthcoming, and inconsistent. After advising the business that a complaint was to be made, Paul Ribeiro (under the psuedonym Peter in his communications with myself) attacked my product reviews posted online and published fictitious information on his facebook. As per the reviews on http://www.productreview.com.au/p/the-reef-shop.html, this behaviour seems systemic.
