this is a relatively new place outside the dendy, in newtown. Its really busy and not that good. I've been here twice- once for a drink with a friend and once for breakfast. The service it patchy- my friend had finished her drink before mine had arrived, and the table next to us sent back their coffee as it was all froth (it was meant to be a flat white, seriously, 30% froth). a frappe and softdrink was over $10. The breakfast was better but nothing spec, same old stuff done proficiently. There are better, cheaper, nicer options folks.

breakfast chinese style. Who would have thought that at 8 am, it would be packed and had people waiting? amazing breakfast deals- steamed noodles, congee and dumplings for one person
Approximate cost: $11
for four people, it cost just over $50 which is an amazing bargain. The food it good and cheap. The restuartant is noisey, and packed and really hot if you have to sit away from the front (which is really really noisey). Maybe this is the true bangkok experience? either way, good and nice and i eat here a lot

nice local bar. The cocktails are good and pack a punch- not cheap though, unless you go for happy hour. Snacks are average- if you are planning to eat, id go elsewhere

i have breakfast here with friends. It was really, surprisingly, good. Poached eggs were perfect, service fab, and all the things we asked for were delivered. Its got a nice courtyard that you and your pooch can sit in.

I have bought meat for roasts here, and they have been consistently good- succulent tasty and well priced. The cost is equivalent to the supermarkets and the meat better. the butchers working here are helpful and will cut the size you want.
for fish and chips in the inner west, this is my pick. There is usually parking and a good selection including grilled/battered/burgers and so on. You can also pick up fresh fish which is handy, and they have the cheapest yummy potato scallops...6 for $2
Approximate cost: $12
the seafood is fresh and the prices are reasonable- as good as coles, however in my experience the fish is fresher. This is a convenient option to the fish markets
the overall score really depends on whats important to you. The food here is good, really good- its cheap, its fresh and its cooked to order. The down sides are they are incredibly slow, just a little unpredictable (seems to depend on the mood of the cook) and the atmosphere is pretty crappy. I get takeaway regularly and sometimes they charge for the takeaway container, sometimes they dont. either way, for me the food rocks so i put up with the bad. Try the eggplant dish and the noodle salad.

nice decor- pretty upmarket, not your average belly dancing cheapy, and the food is a cut above to match. We had the banquet and there was so much food it was ludicrous. It was a shame to not be able to eat it all- good meats, quality peices, lovely seafood, salads and plenty of bread and dip. really good, and perfect for big groups.
