i'm wasn't sure what to expect, having bought a voucher from a deal site. It was $59.00 for service, clean & rego check. The whole thing went without a hitch, i even got picked up and dropped off at the train station!. the car was perfect, clean as a whistle inside and out, and runs like a dream. Rego done and submitted electronically to the rta. It was perfect. And cheap. I would return (definitely if i had another voucher!)

to start with are the sheep heads in the window followed by the obligatory gruff middle aged male waiters. its totally no nonsense, down to basics, greek food. No frills- just voluminous, super tasty bbq and roast meat, fresh chunky salad, cooked to a gazillion years veg, bread, dip and moussaka, spanikopita, calamari, and bits and pieces like haloumi etc. For 3 of us, we paid $100 and ate like kings with masses of meat to take home., This place is def a re-visit.

saturday afternoon coffee and cake- should be a snap, right?. well.....We chose D'ough because it was easy (ie we were right there) and it was raining outside. They are in a food court and have a sectioned off area to sit. You can sit in the designated area for a surcharge or get takeaway and sit less than 5 metres away. We got takeaway, and it was just as comfortable. The coffee was good, but the carrot cake was stale. Thumbs down.

this is a small artisian bakery with delicious morsels to treat yourself. The bread is fab, rye, sourdough and so on, and there are croissants, tarts and little delights. The baker often serves you and its take away only. Its prices are similar to those in the eastern suburbs with some loaves $7, so if you looking for a dense tasty specialty loaf this will suit. for the sliced white try across the road.

my gp wanted me to get an x-ray so off i went. This place was kind of close, and said they could do it straight away. They bulk billed, and i was in and out in less than 20 minutes. I have no idea of the quality, but hey, does anyone know how well they do elsewhere?, either way, i didnt have to pay any extra cash, it was quick and apart from having a dicey time crossing botany road, i'd go here again.

my nieghbours keep trying to convince me that this place is worth a second visit but my experience was not good. Ok, sure, it was saturday night and busy, but the service was rubbish- slow, food in dribs and drabs, really hard to get anything or any attention, forgot to bring things, and so on.. and it was quite pricey. There were 3 of us and we ordered rice with the dishes that we had. we ended up paying over $20 for rice alone!. surely nowhere should charge $20 for rice?. The food was ok, but the cost left a really bad taste. there are places just as good but less expensive

Somehow, even though the food was good, the dire quality of the service really impacted on our meal. There were a lot of staff but no-one seemed to be doing much. Most diners were hel;ping themselves to missing cutlery, water and so on, or resorting to standing a waving their arms about for attention. 2 of the dishes we ordered were "sold out"? really?, at lunch time at 12?? Food was slow, it was like being drip fed. What we had was good, but having to constantly search for things made it totally not worth it.

Upstairs at the newly renovated Newtown hotel, the animal delivers good greek food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is buzzing and as long as you dont mind a bit of noise this is not a bad place. The food is good- several options for spit roasted meat, lots of veg and reasonable priced drinks. the one criticism is that the serves are small. We would prob come again, though. Meat tender, veg tasty. It cost about $120 for 3 including 3 drinks.

We had yum cha and it was acceptable. To the best but definitely not the worst. The dumplings are not great- the pastry is too heavy, but the other things are good. Its reasonably priced, quite a good selection and the service is pretty good (no smiles but prompt and efficient). I would come back again if I couldn't be bothered with chatswood or the city.

it is whats it is. A unisex barber shop type set up. There are about 5 chairs and they were all full with a bench of people waiting when i arrived. Its really quick and cheap- female cut for $25, and better than a lot of haircuts i have had in the past. I would be going here for a special occasion, but it does the trick. no appointments which is good.
