We had an air conditioning unit and an electric stove installed today. The work was done with a minimum of fuss and cleaned up afterwards with the final price coming in $100+ under the quote. The guys were friendly and explained the maintenance and cleaning of the units and how to get the best out of the air conditioner in the long run. Also offered a follow up service of the machine in 12 months at the going rate, so we didn't have to worry about it. (Never been offered that before) We intend to use them again in a couple of weeks time to do another job for us because we were so happy with their work.

While shopping for groceries, I picked up grapes ticketed at $2.98 kg. When I got to the check out, the assistant scanned them at $12.98. I didn't notice at the time but I always check my docket before getting in the car and when I did I found the mistake. I went back to the store to talk to the assistant, her name was Phillie, to tell her and she went to the grape shelf herself to see the correct price. The price was $12.98 kg but she said that the "1" in 12 was obscured by another ticket so she refunded the full price and I agreed she should scan them again at the lower price. The whole time she was helpful, friendly and showed no impatience or animosity towards me. She also said that if it were she doing her shopping she would have thought the same thing about the price. I popped in to pick up a bite to eat and bought a steak and bacon pie with a vanilla slice. Well; that had to be the best lunch I have had in a very long time and I will definitely be going back each time I am in town for lunch. The pie was meaty and nestled in a delicious sauce with lots of flavour and the vanilla slice melted in my mouth with just the right amount of body from the pastry. Awesome and great job French Hot Bread Maryborough!!

This newsagent sells only the best of stationary items and their service is spot on. Each week, they keep aside 7 daily newspapers and 2 magazines for my mother because she is 84 years old and is unable to get into town to buy them. As we live 25 klms from the shops they are unable to deliver to us at home. Other newsagents we spoke to would not keep the papers for the week. Also, the girls who work there are friendly, polite, cheerful and helpful, everytime we go in there. Can't praise them highly enough. Also, the manager is ready and willing to fix any mistakes that are made without a fuss.

I bought a couple of shirts as a present for a niece who is a difficult size. They did not fit her and she was unable to return them herself. I exchanged them for her and when she tried them on they were still wrong so I exchanged them again. They were still wrong so I went back expecting the store to say that they wouldn't swap them again. To my suprise, they not only swapped them but said I could contiinue to swap them until we found one that fitted my niece. That is great service, especially as my niece lives 32klms away and it was a week or more between each return to swap. Best and Less is a great place to shop.
