6 reviews about Village Cinemas (Gold Class)

No session times are displayed on their boards and tickets are bought at the candy bar. Husband asked if Deadpool was at 2.30pm. "Yep," said the attendant. Luckily we checked our tickets and it actually started at 2.15pm.
This was only my second time in gold class. Hoyts gold class gave us free unlimited popcorn & coke so when we purchased the tickets, I asked the attendant if popcorn & drinks were free & unlimited. "Yeah," he said. They're actually not.
Menus were given to us but nobody came back to take our orders. When they came to show us to our seats, we ordered and they asked if we wanted our drinks at the start of the movie, to which we said yes. Drink came about 45min into the movie.
Cinema itself was clean and comfortable with reclining chairs, but staff really need to be trained to ensure the customers experience value for their money.

Had a Gold class movie session with my mom recently for Hobbit 2 at Century. The lobby sitting was rather crampy compared to Knox. Food was so-so and rather expensive (as expected)

The popcorn served was lousy and not crunchy at all.
The worst is my gold class seat had bits and pieces of popcorn and food which other customer have left! It was dirty and the staff didn't do a massive clean up! Not impressed at all if it wasn't for a free gold class ticket from my company- i would complain heaps.

The service was a disgrace. The girl behind the bar was the worst (I got the impression she was in charge). The food was average. The best part was the champagne cocktail. Won't be going back.

Approximate cost: $150

Took the family here as my birthday treat. Nothing like watching a movie in luxury with lovely wine and food. I felt really spoiled. The staff were very responsive to the service call and happily met our every need.

Gold Class at Century City has one of the most cramped waiting areas. The cinema is comfortable and nice. However, it took staff about 30 minutes to respond to the service button in there, upon which they disappeared and never returned. They were apologetic but it did not look good.
