Definitely recommend this business if you're looking for body piercing done professionally & with beautiful jewellery. I had a lovely young lady called Eloise and she was wonderful. If you live in Melbourne or are visiting like myself, check them out

I have never had a pericing here, so I can't review on that but luckily I have been tattooed about 2-3 years ago. Firstly, the studio is very clean, and layed out quite nicely, so all areas are seen and nothing looks dodgy.
I got a small tattoo on my finger which has beautiful lines and healed very well. Some of the artists have long waiting lists (which is a great thing) but they also take walk ins when needed which is good. Would recommend the piercing urge for tattoos.

You had a great experience but you give the business only 3 stars. Dickhead.

I love this place, they have done about 18 of my piercings, they only use the highest grade materials which are internally threaded and everything is autoclaved immediately before use on you, which is the only way to totally ensure sterility, they help you with constant advice for as long as you need it and always give a very professional service.
The only qualm I have is that the Jewellery is very expensive, I would never sacrifice quality for cost but I can get the exact same piece of jewellery from the same manufacturer for half the price online.

The best piercing experience I've had, by far. Amazing staff, both friendly, and very professional. The environment is great, and very comfortable. Much better than most places, and made the pre-piercing nerves almost 0. Having both nipples pierced was kind of a daunting idea at first, and most piercing places and staff don't help, but here, it was easier than having my lip or eyebrow done at other places on previous occassions. I was given a female piercer, without question, by the name of Lou, who was fantastic. Both the staff on were very knowledgeable, friendly, and talkative enough to soothe any jitters. Lou explained aftercare well, and gave me everything I needed for the aftercare process. I was unsure, at first, how well the piercing would heal, having both navel and eyebrow piercings done at other places grow out, after my body rejected them. Both Lou and the other staff member (not sure of his name) assured me that with the right sized jewellery, an experienced piercer, and proper aftercare, I shouldn't have any problems. I was still a bit sceptic, but more than a week later, my piercings look fantastic, and there's no sign of rejection, or infection. I couldn't ask for better.
There are also fantastic specials - on each day of the week, one type of piercing is half price, and jewellery is 25% off. While still slightly more expensive than your average piercer, it's well worth the extra cost, both for their knowledge and experience, and the comfortable atmosphere most other piercing places lack.

Approximate cost: $175 for two piercings.

I was directed to TPU by stumbling across their website in 2007. i have had many piercings there but it was my experience when something went wrong that is what turned me off. i had received double nostril piercings and after the initial swelling had gone down, i discovered they were uneven, one was further up and more forward than the other, i returned to show Peter how uneven they were and he told me it was swelling and not his fault. This was just the first of a few bad experiences which ended in a lobe piercing which i had asked to be as even as possible with my other ear, when i was being marked up i asked for it to be even again and was told jokingly "since when do i listen to what you say?" This didn't make me very confident, and sure enough, the piercings are uneven.

Approximate cost: $110 for a single lobe piercing

Appreciate the honesty about this place. So many people don't want to say they did the wrong thing, and it's not going to make anyone want to come back -.-"
In the future, I get all my piercings done at Cherrycore in Upwey and she takes pride in her piercings being even, of the best quality, and she's not nearly as expensive as TPU.
I have double nostrils, and a tonne of centrally placed facial piercings all done by Cherry and not a single one is uneven, and if it were she would happily repierce :P
Thanks again for your awesome review!

I needed to up-gauge my P.A and was lucky enough to come across Todd who is extremely knowledgable (and very re-assuring). On his suggestion and after much talk I went to what I thought might be toooo big...he was good enough to put it in and I'm glad to report he was right on the money. Thanks mate, you're a great asset to Piercing Urge.

Approximate cost: $140.00

I wanted another piercing in my ear and a friend of mine took me to the piercing urge. She wanted to get one of her earrings replaced with a banana bar and she had previously had a couple good experiences there.

I found the staff there where very professional and they knew there products. They helped me pick out the best earring for the position in my ear i was getting done, and also had a great range of colours to choose from.

I was also very impressed with their level of hygiene, the comfort of their piercing rooms, and the after care advise they were able to give me.

My friend also managed to get her earring changed over for a banana bar - and because the jewelry was for an existing piercing they put it in for free.

Approximate cost: $80???
