Lovely accommodation in the heart of town, lovely rooms and friendly staff slightly higher priced than first expected great special offers available on line. work a look before booking directly from the hotel

My partner and I stayed here for three nights recently and we found it hard to fault the place. The only thing we found was water pressure in the shower is not exactly strong but we could live with it. The guys at reception were friendly and accommodating, the rooms are well set out and comfortable - not huge but having the closed in balcony provided that extra bit of space and was a great place to sit and have a few vino's and watch the sunset. The pool, spa and sauna were all very good and a decent size - I loved the pool which was heated enough for chicken me ( when it comes to cold) to swim. The hotel also hires out bikes at a reasonable price which was fun and has free DVD to watch if you want some time in. A wonderful hotel in a great location.

We bought vouchers for 2 nights on a cheap deal Internet site.
For $240 we got a room with a small balcony overlooking the ocean, king size bed, fruit and choc platter, free wifi and DVDs, toiletries etc. there is also a heated indoor pool to use and can book massages. The room was very nice and clean. Would have been even better if you could order breakfast in your room. A very enjoyable experience.

I went to Port Macquarie for business trip. The Observatory was recommended by friends. The room is not very big but has ocean view. It was nice to fall asleep with the sound of wave after a long working day. As a single woman on business trip in a new area, I am cautious about safety. Therefore I was not 100% happy about the fact that you can not dead lock the room door when you are inside it.
I quite enjoyed the first stay and went back again my second trip. One afternoon when I returned to my room, I was shocked that the room door was wide open! Luckily nothing was missing from the room. You can't see from the corridor that the door is open, because my room and the next door share a common laundry area with another secured door access to the corridor. However it is still scary, because whoever has access to the room next to mine can potentially steal my stuff when my door is open. I immediately told the front desk staff. Their explanation was that the door is heavy and sometimes cleaners don't close it properly. They were apologetic and gave me a bottle of wine. But I will never stay here again.

Amazing apartments, it had water views from the balcony. the room was huge. It was a one bed room apartment and it had a full kitchen an adjoining lounge/ dining room a reasonable sized bath room. The hotel had an indoor heated pool witch was fantastic. The only down side was that it was quite a walk to the main st of port.
