1 review about The Makeup Foundation

It's not often that I have an experience so dreadful that I even question to write about it as I don't want to think about it anymore. But I need to get this out of my system. Being new to QLD I was looking for a make up wholesaler so I can build up my kit. My 1st order was sent to a different po box and I was lucky someone handed it in. I spent over $100 and all the cosmetics were flimsily wrapped and there was no protection. One of the blushers were cracked and I contacted the place to advise. Their response was 'oh well you have it now'...there was no apology and warning signs should have rung in my head. Stupidly I made a 2nd expensive order. This was received packaged but double of what I ordered in 1 eyeshadow. That would be easy to resolve right? Or so you would think...the 'owner ' Nicola didnt help one bit. Exasperated as I felt that I was being walked all over being polite I logged onto FB to leave a polite msg on her page...she proceeded to reply saying I was 'blackmailing' her. Had I threatened any criminal action against her? No. She wanted to make my intentions sinister to her followers. Not only has she driven away a customer but defamed me in the process Feedback both negative and positive is almost given in a transaction. When a problem arises you would expect help but this customer service was atrocious. It should have been a simple return. I think it is run by 1 person and that she hasn't had training or simply does not care about her customers. The products itself aren't worth it, my case broke, eye shadows were not pigmented and cheap like Ebay palettes.. she admitted it was faulty but returning all the items cost too much. She also sends the packages regular post but charges double. She explains that as she is a wholesaler her costs are covered by excess postage. From what I read this company was originally from England. Very unhappy but am glad there are wonderful Australian companies that I can buy from that won't lie to their customers.

Approximate cost: $100

Thanks for sharing - its not always easy to bag a business but this seems well deserved.
