BE AWARE, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT AUTHORISED SAMSUNG REPAIRER. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME!

These people significantly damaged my Samsung Note 9 following screen replacement. I approached them 4 times for one screen replacement due to error after error. Not only that they installed the wrong screen, but they significantly damaged the phone's components board. The workmanship was poor, glue was smeared on the internal parts, screws were missing and network reception was compromised. All these findings were provided in writing to me by an approved Samsung repairer in Osborne Oark, Tecworks International.

Hi Cristian,

Thank you for your feedback

Most importantly It is physically impossible to fit your motherboard into a different model screen as they are different sizes internally, therefore we can 100% guarantee the wrong screen was not installed.

Now after the repair was completed you said your reception was playing up.
We replaced the new screen with a different new one incase the screen we previously fit had a fault, which was causing the reception issues.

We noticed an improvement with the reception at our location.
You contacted us again to say you still having reception issue.

We advised you that we would need to get the phone looked at further to see what was causing the issue as it was not due to the screen replacement and would possibly be motherboard damage. Since we already tried two different screens.

We advised that we will get the phone checked by our business colleague that specialises in motherboard repairs. However after carefully assessing the device it was reported that the damage was internally, (Inside the motherboard, you literally have to take the metal plates off, that are attached to the motherboard to get to this area) and that there was no way we could have caused the issue as we would not have touched this area during a regular screen repair. The metal plates can only be soldered off.

It was then concluded that the issue was due to the baseband overheating which was caused from the device being dropped. Hence the more the phone was being used the hotter it got internally where the damage was, causing the reception signal to fluctuate.

We explained all this to you and came to an agreement that we would refund you the screen replacement price of $300 also
you would take the phone to get your data off and then bring it back to us so we can retrieve our replacement screen.

We gave you the cash back and you were meant to bring the phone back the next week but you never returned it.

Youve now contacted us basically asking us to buy you a new phone which is not fair on us, even though weve already refunded you the full amount you paid for the repair and kept our screen which you was meant to return. At Star Tech Phone Repairs we highly value customer feedback and customer satisfaction is our first priority, in saying this were really sorry that youve had a bad experience with us.

Best Regards
