Fantastic rejuvenation of my handbag. Thought it was beyond repair. . Great care taken . Couldn’t be happier with the result .

I used to send my designer bags interstate before I was referred to Sole Service by Votre Luxe in Hyde Park. I had my Boy Chanel recoloured by Sole Service. It was scuffed and the leather damaged, I was looking to sell and I wanted to ensure it looked its best.

Courtney did an amazing of restoring my handbag and I couldn't be happier with the process. Its came back looking new near.

If you are thinking of sending your beloved RM’s for repair, DON’T.

I should have realised from the start that they were incompetant.

Sole Service initially gave me a quote to resole and insert a new insole in my RM’s for $238.90 and when i accepted they sent an invoice for $257.40. Which i queried and they amended. Then once i had paid they organised a courier who took my boots and they then sent me another invoice saying the first remained unpaid. Again I emailed them and they corrected the error.

They had the boots for 4 weeks before shipping back to me, allegedly fully restored! Although the new outer sole was adequate (pretty clunky and nowhere near as nice as the original) I figured it would a least prolong the life of the boots. However, the new leather insole was a disgrace, they had just laid it over the old crumbling substrate and it was like walking barefoot on gravel. I complained and was told by the owner to send them back for another attempt. You would think that the repair of the initial botched repair would be done immediately but no, I had to wait a further 7 weeks for them to come back. Now that I have them, I would say the new insole is only marginally better than the previous repair and little bits of rubber lining keep working their way out under my feet and I have to keep taking the boots off and shaking it out. Also, the elastic on the sides has been stretched so much that the boots now are a poor fit. After all the hassle, I have decided to move on and put it behind me and buy an new pair of RM’s and when they are due for repair i will send them to RM instead.

I suggest you do the same!

Excellent quality repair/restoration of a pair of 15+ year old RM Williams boots. Free courier service and lots of communication. Reasonable price for new soles and heels, new tugs, new elastic gussets and new inner linings. Very highly recommended. The boots look like new.
