The Shiralee is very clean and comfortable with a pleasant frinedly staff. It is very nicely placed half way between Sydney and Brisbane. An evening meal was included in the price: Chicken schnitzel and vegies. Guyra is ver cold in winter but we were snug with a good heater and electric blankets.

My friend and I now plan our trips to Canberra so that we always stay at this hotel. We will change travel dates if it means staying here. The owners are amazingly friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a positive one. Our last trip, for example, we ended up arriving far later than we'd wanted, and the owners had to go out for a few hours because of a family emergency. We arrived to meals on the table, and because it had been a bit cold, they'd put on the electric blankets. Their food is beautiful, I've stayed there three or four times and have never had a complaint. It's the friendliness, though, that wins my loyalty. I cannot say enough nice things about this business!
