At pre trial review we settled on about half - $1,131 - but Richtek failed to pay so on 01/02/2022 I got judgment and will be sending bailiffs to Richtek. There are reports of threats of violence and a connection to bikie lawlessness.

Definitely best decision to have Richtek do our Shower walls and floors, plus external balcony. The tradesperson was presentable, respectful of our property, great professional work and the finish products amazing. Wish we had it done years ago.

I asked for a quote from Richtek for a sale settlement compliance check on the RCDs and smoke alarms in a 2 bedroom unit. I was told by the attending electrician that the entire electrical system was unsafe (because the RCDs had been recalled and needed replacing, the whole switchboard needing replacing and junction boxes were required in the ceiling space) and should not be used. The electrician was aware that I had 7 days until settlement (which was a rapid timeframe at the buyers request). I was quoted $4400 by Richtek and told a 50% deposit was required to secure the job (and for the quote to be secured the deposit was required to be paid ON THE SPOT with NO terms and conditions of the quote provided at the time!!), otherwise they would need to reattend and requote. Luckily, I contacted my real estate agent handing the sale, who arranged for an electrician he used regularly to also quote the work required. That quote came to about $800! The second electrician confirmed that the switchboard was perfectly safe, so he replaced the RCDs (low cost), the two smoke alarms and installed a junction box (only one was required) in the ceiling for a total price of $792. PLEASE do your homework and seek other quotes, do not just trust what this company tells you as it could cost you a lot of money.

came to re-grout the bathroom and damaged 1/2 the tiles that now need to be replaced. badly mixed grout left stuck to the bath and tiles as well as irreparable tool marks left on over 1/3 of the tiles.

Initially agreed to repair their damage and then they refused because they realised how much work they would have to do to fix the damage they caused.

They don't turn up on time, don't return calls and have to be constantly chased up to resolve problems and then ultimately refuse to.

Laughably they offered to refund the deposit I had paid on the basis that I would then have to pay to fix the tiles myself. Needless to say I rejected that offer.

Had to take them to the building commission to force them to fix the damage they caused.

Do yourself a favour and find another company, they are not worth the risk.

They continued to bury their head in the sand resulting in the building commission ordering them to pay my fees and repair the damage they caused.

I would definitely not recommend Richtek. We needed a gas pipe removed ready for a wood burner to be installed. They cancelled 2 appointments saying they had emergency call outs and never showed for the next appointment. They answered a call from my partner stating they were on their way and would be 10 minutes, they never showed up and ghosted his calls for the rest of the day.

Never use their service they would take your money and walk away saying everything is fixed. When in fact the same issue that was suppose to be fixed has now started again. When you call them up to advise them of this, they are happy to send someone down to take a look but don't be surprised when they quote you to get it repaired.

THEY STATED IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT REPAIR!!!!

WHAT I DON'T GET IS THAT WHEN YOU SEND SOMEONE DOWN TO FIND THE CAUSE OF THE ISSUE HOW COME THIS WAS NOT PICKED UP THE FIRST TIME I CALLED.

CAUSE TO MY UNDERSTAND IS THAT WHEN I PAY TO HAVE SOMEONE TAKE A LOOK AT THE ISSUE AND FIND THE CAUSE OF IT !!! THAT THE PERSON HAS THROUGHLY CHECKED. WHICH I CAN SAY WAS NOT DONE IN THIS INSTEAD !!!!

ALSO DON'T CALL UP THE HEAD OFFICE AND TRY TO SPEAK TO THE MANGER AKA MARK (WHATEVER HIS NAME IS) HE WOULD NOT CARE AND STATED THAT THEY HAVE DONE THEIR JOB AND WOULD STILL NEED TO CHARGE ME.

NOW WHEN I STATED TO HIM (MARK) THAT NO YOU HAVE NOT BECAUSE IF YOU DID THEN THE ISSUE WOULD NOT REAPPEAR AGAIN. I ALSO STATED THAT I PAID ALL THIS FOR NOTHING AND THAT YOU NOW ARE GOING TO CHARGE ME AGAIN. HIS REPLY IT'S SOMETHING DIFFERENT NOW . SOMETHING DIFFERENT NOW OK WILL I SEE THE SAME ISSUE LEAKING AT THE SAME SPOT WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED WHEN YOU GUY WALKED AWAY WITH MY MONEY.!!!!!

THEN HE (MARK) WENT ON THE EVEN QUESTION ME ABOUT HOW WOULD CHECKED THE CAUSE OF THIS ISSUE WHICH I REPLY "WELL MARK I WOULDN'T KNWO CAUSE I DON'T WORK IN THAT FIELD"!! HECK THE REASON I CALLED YOU FROM THE BEGINNING TO SORT THIS OUT BUT CLEARLY WE WEREN'T DOING YOUR JOB CORRECTLY.

DON'T KNWO WHY THEY ARE IN THE LINE OF WORK WHEN THEY CAN'T EVEN GET IT RIGHT AT THE START AND EXPECT YOU TO PAY MORE THE SECOND TIME AROUND.

DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY ONLY GOING TO END UP PAYING MORE $$$$$$$ .

The work was done so badly that the house suffered significant damage. This led to court action, and I have judgement. The company assured the court they would satisfy the court order promptly. Haven't done so, and so its now bailiff time. Quite why a company with such antecedents is allowed to trade defeats me.

Dishonest, they outright loed about a circut breaker being recalled and have not refunded deposit when i caught them.

They came out and quoted $3,290 for electrical work. Made out it would take time and parts were expensive. He was there for an hour, leaving me totally ripped off. When I complained they said that was the standard cost for this job. Totally unjustified, never recommend them.

They came out to look at my fan on checking I should have had a hard wired smoke alarm also needed RCD for oven and hot water system came on the Thursday in and out fast efficient clean tradesmen.
