AMAZING Hairdresser
I came in today for a cut and finish with Phillip along with a run through of my prom hairstyle. As always Phillip was very talkative, enthusiastic, bubbly, very comforting and reassuring throughout the process. Phillip did the dry cut I was amazed at the angles he was cutting in, and being open I thought here we go a bad haircut is coming after he did the dry cut Bill gave me the most wonderful hair wash

I asked what he was using on my hair he then talked me through the products he had used, why he had used them and what they did to me hair.

Once bill had washed my hair he displayed in front of me the products he had and was going to use. This was beneficial as I then knew what he was doing to my hair and what products were being used on my hair.

Whilst Phillip was drying and styling my hair he talked me through the techniques he was using so I could then do them myself. His cutting as he states is wash & go. Once he had finished he told me to fully messy up my hair, shake it run my fingers through it, he then got a mirror and showed me what it looked like from behind, I was amazed it was wow I couldn’t talk which is a first for me, I have never ever in my life had my hair dance when I shook it or messed it up

Phillip took the cutting cover off of me, collected my coat and walked me over to the counter where I then purchased some of the products he had used.

When I purchased them he reminded me again what to do when using these products and made sure I was alright using them efficiently and wisely.

Another great trip to Phillip Michael’s and I will be highly recommending to anyone I know of my hairdresser Phillip many thanks x
Forgot to say silly me, I love my new BFF summer she is the salon dog and she is so lovely she keeps near your side when you are having your having your hair done

Amazing saloon!
After I had my son just over a year ago pregnancy had really took a toll on my hair and it really needed attention. I decided to treat myself to a saloon visit for my birthday, so I booked in at the Phillip Michael’s saloon.
I had never been here before and couldn't have been made to feel any more welcome and relaxed.

I had a colour and cut and was not too sure on what I wanted but both Phillip & his father Phillip Michael’s who did my colour was very friendly & helpful and I absolutely love my colour. phillip who did my cut was lovely and also advised me on what would suit me and I love my cut. he also spent the time recommending products I asked about and showing me how to curl my hair, and the curls did last all day to my surprise.

I can never normally curl my hair successfully but will now practice!

Overall I really enjoyed my saloon experience and will be going again.

Would recommended the salon as you are in good hands and they’re are both lovely & professional.

A big thank to both of them I came out feeling a million dollars with a healthy head of hair again :)

Must make this clear as it is urgent

Phillip carries out a full consultation and he goes through your hair with a fine tooth comb picking up and previous errors with your last cut, he then shows you the faults and explains fully how the last cut was done, and he is very accurate he then cuts your hair dry, ? Yes dry, he does this so that he can correct all the fault made by the previous cutter I must say I loved my hair cut and then he washed it and finishes off the cut and he fingers dry no fancy blow dry as his work is cut and go and you are then told to mess it up and style it yourself

There a wonderful dog called summer she was from England and you get made a fuss from her
And don’t forget you get wonderful teapot cup & saucer with snacks served as soon as you sit down
Great Service

Great cut and colour!
After a long time without cutting my hair I had Harriet at Ashby for a big change with a lot of hair taking off. She was so warm, kind and reassuring and took the time to talk to me about what I wanted and how to style it. Even though I have never had hair so short and was quite nervous prior to the appointment, I loved the end result so much I ended up booking in with Harriet again 2 weeks later for hair painting to finish off the look. I have never loved a haircut so much, my hair feels so healthy, is way less tangly and looks much neater and more stylish. The whole experience was definitely first class, and I will be back for all my future hair needs! Thank you Harriet.
Fabulous experience
I have been client of Phillip for over 1 year, all visits were great, but the certain big of magic was missing. In September the day before leaving for an amazing holiday in Mauritius my stylist phillip. When entering the salon my hair looked a total mess, I was sick and tired of my highlights looking dull and lifeless.
After chatting with Phillip who understood my plight, I then saw an saying Ying Yang colours, we both then decided on a transformation from my normal hair colour

In just a few hours of drinking hot chocolate, great magazines, and 4 different colours my dull highlights, were gone I turned into a new woman I felt totally amazing.

Thank you Phillip and bill it made such a difference to how I felt on my fabulous holiday. I’ve been wishing for a hair colour like this for years!
thank you so much my hair looks totally fantastic.

This review is for Bill the hair colourist at Phillip Michael’s... Bill under the Guidance of his father has a true eye for colours Phillip is A master of cutting hair he has always given me a great cuts

When I first came to see him 2 years ago, my hair had gone from being a great multi-dimensional blonde to being flat and without depth.

The hardest part for me is that as a designer with a degree in painting...a lot of my job involves colour matching paint and dye.

I can tell when a colour is off by the slightest amount....when no when else notices at all.

So it drives me CRAZY that I can't do this for my own hair and couldn't find someone who was as good with hair colour as I am with fabric dye.

When Phillip Michael’s took over doing it... all of a sudden it was not only 100% more natural looking but most people refuse to believe that my hair is now completely white underneath this colour. Bill gave me EXACTLY what i wanted.

Over the years he has also always adjusted the colour to make sure it looks spot on every time. So many colourists come up with a formula and that's what you get for the rest of your life. Not Phillip or bill they both takes the time and energy to figure it out and give you her best. Another big plus for me is this....I’ve had stylists who give you service in accordance with your tip.

I know that he has clients who can afford to give him great tips and amazing xmas presents. In all the years I’ve been going to him that has NEVER been a factor. I’ve been up and down over the years and none of that has ever effected the way he treats me. I cannot say that for a lot of the people who do hair in this city.

Too many care about the tip. Only the tip...and not the person. not that that isn't great when you can afford to tip very well, but Phillip and bill thy truly love hairdressing and once I did offer them $50 between them Phillip said unless you won the lottery we don’t need a tip, we should be paying you for being a live walking billboard for Phillip Michael’s as everyone asks about your hair and you get us new clients and we cares about you and the quality of my work...'enough said!

I had my hair cut and root regrowth by Phillip in his Parramatta salon,

The moment I walked in a few weeks ago to book the appointment, to now, having had my hair cut, I am so impressed. When I arrived yesterday,

Phillip sat me down, talked about what I wanted and gave me some really good advice and no false allusions as i have jet black dyed hair and want to go lighter!

Then gave me the best haircut he cut it fry and I never ever had a dry cut and boy it was wonderful and colour I have had in years, nothing was too much trouble. For this father and son team there are a true professional team and such a lovely Gentleman, I even got a goody bag as it was my first trip which was a lovely touch, my appointment with Phillip is already booked.

The salon is clean and the atmosphere is lovely.

When I move to a new city I always get a bit anxious about finding a new hairdresser. It seems like as soon as I find one I'm comfortable with I move again! But the first hairdresser I tried in paramatta was Phillip Michael's, and I think I hit the nail on the head, so to speak. Phillip Now's owns the salon in Molesworth street, and it is very posh up market, but the price's are still affordable which I love

With long thick hair and a penchant for keeping my blonde highlights topped up, I have come to accept that any time I go to the hairdressers it's going to cost me a pretty penny or two. And after trying to skimp on cost by going to some cheaper salons in my time, I've also come to accept that you get what you pay for. That's why I don't mind paying an extra few bucks to sit at ease in my chair in Phillip Michael's rather than fretting and constantly checking the mirror in a crappy supermarket salon.

Everyone wants something different from their hairdresser - some like the listen and do type, others like them to have their own ideas. I personally prefer the listening type. I don't mind helpful suggestions but I hate when they take it upon themselves to cut you a fringe when you didn't ask for one, or worse still, lecture you about using straighteners. the team being a father & son and doggie listened to what I want, stuck to the colours I chose, and cut exactly as many inches as I asked them to cut.

both boy's are wonderful colourist and cutting Phillip is the master, with loads of Degree's after his name If you like foils chat to Phillip about YING YANGS t is great and no one else can do it world wide as it is his own method, I tried watching him, but it just looks a mess till it is totally finished
cost $220 take 2 hours
once you walk into the salon, there is a wonderful try lace in front of you tea pot cup saucer biscuits snack chocs and then as you relax you get a full consultation carried out and your hair is cut dry o style then finished off later

Approximate cost: $220

wow, what can I say, I looked up this salon as they have a salon in Sydney they have over 100 top rated stars and I must say they are wonderful, I went to there salon at 62 Molesworth street Lismore 2480
As I entered into this very high class salon, with everything being real leather I was greeted by a wonderful dog called summer, she is so cute and friendly, I got made a fuss of by her, then I was greet by an older man who showed me a seat and he sat talking to me about my hair, my last cut and he was spot on with how my hair behaviour and how I slept and everything, I was then severed a wonderful tray with a cup saucer tea pot and side goodies of snacks.
I was told to enjoy my tea Phillip introduced his son who brought the tray over saying this is bill

we sat and chatted about what I wanted and it was suggested that as my hair was damaged I shouldn't have foils but have a YING YANG, Phillip explained it.
YING YANG I hand paint your hair with 3 to 4 different colours and there no regrowth as everything is covered and it looks natural, after explaining and I enjoying the wonderful cuppa, Phillip started cutting my hair dry, he explained by cutting your hair dry we can then see the shape and the true length, I was happy by this, as I never ever in my 50 years ever had anyone cut my hair dry and it was like watching an artist every section was cut, at different angles and the hair was falling into shape my eyes started to water up, and Phillip stopped cutting and ask what was wrong. I said I'm sorry but no one has every gone to the length of doing what you are doing to my hair, its not even finished and it already looks fab and sick. Phillip said, you are my walking advert so I must make you really stand out from the crowd and also I am Phillip Michael's so you get the best.
he then did the YING YANG
2 hours later I cried again it was a total new me.
I was charged $220.00 and I happily paid it, Phillip is my new stylist now
