The decor here is so fun, its a great little spot for breakfast! Fairly standard fare, coffee, milkshakes, but its a great place for kids and parking is so easy which is not the usual case for ashgrove.

Honestly, Milk Cafe is a tad expensive but I have been going there for years and it is worth every cent. Absolutely amazing service, I am always greeted with wonderful smiles by all of the staff members. The milkshakes, coffee, thick shakes, cakes, and snacks are all to die for and Milk cafe produces the best chips I have ever tasted. (A little tip is to come at around 1-2 pm as usually everything has died down and you can have a quiet beautiful lunch or meeting.) The Cashier at the counter is so respectful and always has a huge smile. Also with the service almost every time the waiters clear my plates before I even stand up to leave. Definitely 5 stars for Milk Cafe Ashgrove for Service, Value ,and Quality of life.

If you love milk shakes, this is the place to go to in Brisbane. The shakes range from the simple to elaborate and decadent creations with chocolate, sprinkles and marshmallows on top.

They do serve them in those silly jar things instead of classic milk shake glasses, but that is just something we have to put with in cafes at the moment until people get sick of it.

Beyond the shakes I am not so sure about, but the menu looks interesting. Will need to return here.

The milkshakes here are great - they have also started offering Zymil milk too!
Food here is a tad expensive - have learnt that you can order the Turkish breads and wraps without the chips and salad - however once I tried to do this I got a reluctant dirty look from the cashier... However this is how they used to sell them they just don't advertise that you can buy them individually anymore...

The food here is quite good but expensive for what it is. A sandwich on turkish bread will set you back about $12 - $14 and salads are the same. The service is friendly and the outdoor dining area is very pleasant but more variety in the food offered and better value would be appreciated.
Oh yes - and it is always full of children :-)

The milkshakes are delicious, and they also serve Merlo coffee and yummy looking food. I just tried a cake, which was good. I like the fact that they offer organic milk in the shakes too (for a small surcharge).

The decor is good too, and when we were there, there was a baby shower going on. It would be a good place for a kids' party too.

I often take my daughters to the Milk Cafe after school for a milkshake. I love walking into to the cafe because the decorating is fabulous and takes you back in time. They have a huge variety of different flavours and treats to go with your milkshake. My children love going there too, and what child wouldn't. I haven't tried their burgers yet, but we have eaten many a cupcake.

Milk Cafe is a fun place to go for the music and decor. The food is varied; you can get chips, salads, cupcakes, brownies, ice cream floats and lots more.

I enjoyed my Strawberry and Mint Frappe and the thick cut chips I shared with my sister were amazing. Very thick, lightly battered and served in a large paper cone.

The music is really cool ... think Elvis Costello, croony and relaxing.

The decor is bright yellow and white and the cafe seemed clean and well maintained.

I do find the prices to be expensive but hey, you go there for a treat so just enjoy!

They take great pride in their local suppliers and have them written up on a chalkboard in the cafe. I like that.

The service was friendly and there are plenty of menu options to choose from.

Park downstairs in the Woolworths carpark.

Took my sister here this afternoon for a birthday treat. Loved the bright yellow decor and the crooning music playing in the background. I had a deluxe chocolate obsession thickshake (made with Connoisseur ice cream) which was just heavenly and delicious but a little pricey at $7.90. We shared a family size cone of wicked thick cut chips which were seasoned beautifully and came with a small tub each of tomato sauce and aioli ($9.90). All day breakfast is served here ranging in price from $9 right up to $18.90 for the Big Breakfast. Great range of shakes, burgers, sandwiches and a pretty display of cupcakes and muffins on offer too. Parking available under the building. If it weren't for the prices, I'd love to visit more often.

I have been to Milk Cafe more than once and love not only their traditional milkshakes but also their blueberry smoothie. Mmmm delicious! Last visit I had a burger and chips followed by a sundae as part of a deal. The burger was traditional but not too large, enough to be satisfied without being too full which was just as well given the sundaes. My daughter and I chose a rocky road sundae and banana butterscotch sundae and we shared both. They were absolutely yummy! The atmosphere of the cafe has a nice nostalgic feel to it. I would definitely return for their sundaes alone to try more of them however they are also worth another visit for either their burgers or milkshakes. Fantastic!

Approximate cost: $20-$25
