The food was brilliant, free bread which is rare in Sydney and then we had the carpese salad, arancini balls and then the seafood pasta to share, all were fantastic. I have never in my life tasted gnocchi so tender and sweet, with just enough bite to be substantial but soft enough to dissolve in your mouth. Pillows or ravioli were also outstanding - filled with a goats cheese and pumpkin mousse, served perfectly al dente with a touch of sticky vincotto, crisp crumbs and a splash of olive oil, the flavours and textures danced in my mouth. It'll break your heart if you only ever come here once!

I really love this restaurant because of its ambience. It looks like one from the movie with its red and white cheeked table clothes and cozy atmosphere. They also serve great food like slow cooked lamb which just melts in the mouth with herbs, parmesans and pangrattato. If you don't want to be fussy, try their fish and chips or Pizza and you will love them too. I think they are very popular as they have magazine cut outs of various publications reviewing their restaurant in their windows.
They also have menus available for function with heaps of options in reasonable price.

Approximate cost: $25

Bright, contemporary Italian restuarant serving high quality modern Italian cuisine. Friendly, efficient service. Options include al a carte, casual dining at the fully licenced bar, a chefs table for 2, rear sundrenched fully covered terrace or private dining upstairs. Chef Giovanni Spinazzola (Bistro Moore 1 hat) still producing favourites such as Roman Lamb with many new temptations on the menu. Alternatively there is a Degustation menu of 6 plates. Probably the only Italian restaurant open on a Monday night on Norton Street. Open 6 nights for dinner. Closed Sunday.
