Absolutely adore this place. Food is really good, it can be quite noisy sometimes but it's still a great place. I definitely recommend it.

I keep returning to this place.I love the Mongolian BBQ, All you can eat option and always choose to have that. Cooked to perfection and really tasty. My husband always chooses a meal from the menu and we both love the quality of the food. A great place for all occasions. They have take away as well. Will keep going back.

Love this place. The food is wonderful and it's a fun night out.

It can be very noisy, so I avoid going there on a Friday or Saturday night. Also, if you're vegetarian and want tofu added to meal, it's best to book ahead and let them know, because they often run out of tofu. (Especially if there is more than one vegetarian in your party.)

I love their non-alcoholic margaritas - just the thing to cool off if you've gotten a bit too adventurous with the chilli!

The staff seem to fall into two categories - brilliant, or painfully new. Alex himself is an absolute riot and makes each visit fun.

It's different from other restaurants because you decide exactly and Imean everything that goes in your meal. This has a bit of a fun factor in it, because once you've picked out exactly what you want, you then get to watch and wait as the chef cooks it all for you right in front of you. The downside to this is, I have no idea what combination of foods and sauces and spices would make a great combination. You could be asking them to mix up something that is going to taste disgusting...and then you have to it. Also the chef gets a little flamboyant in his cooking, and usually spills some of your food over the edge of the grill and onto the floor. The place has a bit of a novelty factor, but at $25 each, I'd prefer to leave the food combination decisions in the hands of an accomplished chef rather than myself, and I'd prefer my food to be cooked properly instead of by a chef who just wants to show-off and spill his customers' food on the food. Interesting concept for a restaurant, but it seems flawed.

I have only got take away from this restaurant and I found it to be extremely pricey. Was around $40 for 2 people. Service was good, food was ready when we arrived. Quality of food was great.

I go to Kublai often, and it is a hard place to fault. When you think all-you-can-eat you picture hour old pasta and overcooked fried food, but their Mongolian BBQ is the furthest possible thing from this. I never get tired of trying the different sauces (although don't experiment too much or suffer the wrath of Alex). The only issue I have is that even though it is a smaller restaurant, it is still sometimes hard to get the attention of a waiter to get drinks, maybe I'm just invisible? The other thing is because the primary purpose of the restaurant is to serve the all-you-can-eat BBQ, they aren't staffed to cook a table full of meals from their a la carte menu, so if you're planning on all skipping the bbq, you'll be in for a wait.

The BBQ option is really good (all you can eat! with really good vegetarian options to choose your own food) Alex from the Biggest Loser is lovely and accomodating, always stops to tell jokes and chat. Always remembers us too! Just don't eat the chilli! Highly recommended. I go back there all the time!

We found Kublai on womow, and we had a brilliant time!! We loved the food and the service was fantastic. The best part was that they were able to cater for gluten free with no problems of deterioration in quality or variety of food! We will be definitely going again!
