I've been to Just Fine Foods multiple times-mainly for their vanilla slice. Their vanilla slice is a huge piece with flaky pastry, a smear of jam on the bottom and extra creamy vanilla custard. The price has been slowly rising and rising so you really do need to like vanilla slice to be able to enjoy it. The last time I was there I had pancakes with fresh figs and it was so good and a huge serving. All there dishes are actually quite big so it may be best to under order if you think you might be able to share items. Their service can be a bit hit and miss-some days the are quick and friendly, other days they seem to not want your money and just ignore you as you stand with money in your hand (this is after having eaten). It is a very popular place in Sorrento so either arrive early or order takeaway. I took my dog there and they came out with a bowl of water and a dog treat for him which I thought was very nice.

Have the best vanilla slices but must say putting up with their service and attitude just makes it not worth the effort. I keep wondering why people get into businesses that require customer service if they find customers a hassle!

I am a part time local in Sorrento and have been here a number of times.

With the exception of one older lady, the service is slow, unfriendly, disorganised.

I am now boycotting this place after yesterday - I waited 10 minutes to be served and I ordered a coffee and a vanilla slice - easy, right? I waited 15 minutes for my coffee and my vanilla slice just didn't appear. I left money with my cup for the coffee and when I told the asian waitress that I was leaving the money and that I didn't get my order, she just tutted at me and walked away.
I have been in this place on a prior visit for 2 hours just having a tea, a quiche and then a spider.
This place will not go out of business however because the vanilla slices are famous (not exceptional, just famous) and it's in a prime spot in a busy tourist town.
They don't deserve the business when they treat people so badly!

If you are in Sorrento you must try their vanilla slices they are the best in Melbourne
and their sandwiches are made with the greatest bread I have ever tasted. The staff is friendly and although a small place their is plenty of outdoor seating.
