Juniper Salon rocks! My visit this time was to remove the dye and damage.
I am now sporting a very cool, short, a-la- natural grey/ silver hair do and love it.
Always a relaxing time at this salon - professional but down to earth, extremely knowledgeable and very helpful.
Could not recommend Juniper more!

Finally, a salon in the SE suburbs that can cut curly hair! It was my first curly cut and the experience was just wonderful. Morgan took the time to really listen to me without judgment and gave me a really beautiful cut. She also gave me some very practical yet game-changing tips that have made maintenance a breeze. They were reasonably priced and the service was just wonderful.

Unprofessional business practices and disgraceful customer service.

My appointment time was changed with no consultation, and I eventually received an untimely and unprofessional follow-up from the management, regarding my query about being overcharged.

The evening of my haircut, I queried via email about whether I was overcharged and left three voicemail messages the next week, but received no response. On the fifth try, I finally got a response. The representative who contacted me appeared disdainful towards me from the start of the conversation by saying, "I have this message to call you, where are we at?". They talked over me when I spoke, didn't answer my questions, and never apologized to me as a customer about my experience. Previous reviews indicate that they have zero customer service skills for clients who give feedback. The minimum expectation of an apology for the bad experience or the lack of response would have helped. The conversation was so redundant that I had to talk over them to express my dissatisfaction and eventually had to end the call while they were still talking.

On the day, I was provided with a $30 in vouchers (one for me and one referral), but due to the unprofessional manner in which the management acted, I will never return nor would I recommend this salon to anyone, over a misunderstanding of $20.

The website misleadingly states $165 (1 June 2023) as it did when I booked (and paid a deposit), and at no time did the salon advise of a new price when confirming the appointment via email or text reminders. The salon made sure to note their own various conditions about how I would lose my appointment if I turned up 10 minutes late or with damp hair. The representative would not answer my question about guaranteeing that the price was the same as when I booked it months ago.

I found the interaction with contacting the salon and management to be very unprofessional.

I gave the option for the salon to respond before I posted my review, but I received an email with unnecessary excuses and nine screenshot attachments with red circles from the management instead of understanding my experience. I would have been happy with an apology for any misunderstanding and to be informed when the price increased. But their lack of response to my email and voice messages, unprofessional behavior on the telephone call, and unnecessary email response solidified my decision not to support this business. I have received no apology for their unprofessional behavior on the phone. There was a lot of incorrect and contradicting information in their email to me. They accused me of not sending my email, said the price change WAS on the website, and provided a contradicting story about my hairdresser's availability, which had no impact on my appointment or complaint. I have double-checked all the information and their statements are incorrect. I feel vindicated in my decision not to support this salon, not due to the hairdresser, but due to the unprofessional customer service and treatment by the management.

Dear Reader,
We have done everything we can to allay this person's concerns. She made the mistake not reading 'Prices Start From..' in bold, and not reading the Terms and Conditions, which happens, but when we pointed this out she refused to listen. We are sorry she had an unsatisfactory experience after she had left the salon, but so much of what she has written is just not true and now we simply have to accept that she has posted it and move on.

Juniper Hair Salon is a hidden gem for those looking for expert hair styling in their local area. Trina, the stylist, really knows what she is doing and I can confidently say that my hair cut has lasted the whole school term. Not only did the cut last, but it also made me feel youthful and refreshed. Living around the corner, I had no idea that the specialist I needed for my curls was so close. I received great service, and was lucky to get an appointment due to a cancellation. I will definitely be booking my next appointment with Juniper, and now that I know they have won awards, it's no surprise why they're so highly regarded.

Lots of care taken with my first haircut, loved all of the knowledge they have about curly hair. My cut has been easy to style myself and I loved the natural products used in the salon.

Funky looking salon.
Good consultation process, hairdresser Vicky was super friendly and clearly knew her stuff.
Didn’t leave the salon feeling desperate to de-pouff my hair. In fact, got a great cut and new style, one of my best hair cuts ever.
Got a little treats bag,gotta love that.

I had my first visit to Juniper Salon a couple of weeks ago & I'll definitely be back. Morgan took the time to ask me about my hair & my general routine with my curls - she gave amazing advice & an amazing hair cut. 2 weeks on, and my curls are so manageable and sit perfectly, I haven't pulled out the hair straightener yet! I'll definitely be back for my next curly cut in the new year.
