Have herd awesome things about their specials but live on other side of the marsh so we rarely receive catalogs regarding market day and 99% of the time miss out on the sales
always a friendly face to say hello and help you with your inquiries, Produce is always fresh and the service always fast. Huggies Nappies are cheaper at IGA over any other store even when they are not on special, You get the feeling of more personalized service being that it is a small independently run buisness
Approximate cost: $29.99
If you were to choose 10 random products, and compare their prices at the local Coles, Foodworks and IGA, then IGA would always come out the most expensive. They also charge 5c for plastic bags, but at least the money raised is donated to the local hospital. I'd really love to support my locally owned IGA store, but why should I do all of my shopping there if it means it'll cost me 10 to 40% more money than what I would at Coles?
Their service is fairly fast, and generally friendly, but there's rarely a smile. The staff usually seem pretty stressed out for some reason, and that comes across with their customer service.
Coles and FoodWorks are less than 2kms away, and they have more variety, have more spacious shopping aisles and are cheaper, so the only reason to go to IGA is to buy something they happen to have on sale.
Approximate cost: $10 - 40% more than Coles and Foodworks
local shopping centre, saves drive into bacchus marsh, similar prices to coles and foodworks, reasonable sales, occassionally good liquor specials, limited range of liquor
