This is a lovely hotel to stay in Canberra. Not a lot around, but it's about 10-15 walk from the restaurants and cafes in Manuka. Lovely clean and spacious rooms; and the whole hotel has such an historical ambience and feel about it - PM Ben Chifley resided here until his death in 1951. Staff are friendly and helpful as well.

Hotel Kurrajong is conveniently located right near the National Gallery and Parliament House. Bus travel in Canberra is easy and stops are located all around the hotel. The staff are flexible and will help you with transfers, taxis and any other info about the area. It's a short walk from restaurants and parks. The city is a 5 minute drive away. The whole place has a very old-style federation feel. The restaurant is reasonable value for a good meal, but you're better off to make the effort to eat out. Breakfast is the better option. Overall, the rooms are cosy but clean. Beds are comfy and it's a quiet place to stay.

Approximate cost: $130 a night approx
