We have been to 2 functions here, an Engagement party and a 21st birthday party. Both times, private areas were provided and both times the facilities and standard of service were excellent.
Most recently, we went to the 21st, in a private area just for this function, including a room and enclosed patio with private bar. Nice old pub, but modern fixtures and tastefully built on to and decorared.
A very pleasant pub and place to hold functions, conveniently located at the northern end of O'connell street, but parking can be a little difficult, especially on weekends.

This is a lovely hotel situated and the end of North Adelaide. They have great segmented off areas for dining both informal and formal. There is also outside dining and lots of off street parking.

The setting was nice and quaint. We were the first ones there that night, so we got to see it as the night progressed. Was still good when it was a little busier!
Anyway, ordered some oysters for entree and you have to order the oyster in cranberry juice if they still have it! It's like a booger in a test tube! An autopsy!!! Haha. Sounds revolting, but you shot it down and it tastes rather good! Well done I say :0p
Otherwise, the other food was above average.

The Caledonian has a wide range of menu choices at reasonable prices. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere for dining, but if you'd like something more formal, there is also a fine dining restaurant.
