This place sometimes feels so hip that it hurts. The wifi shuts down at around 5, good for a cider and afternoon change of scenery with the laptop.

A fine place to unwind in the morning, afternoon or the evening. Great coffees, even better booze. Try the Sailor Jerry's with ginger beer and lime. Well worth a visit!

Quaint little bar, great selection of cocktails and wines to choose from. I did feel that the pricing was a little extravagant though staff are friendly. Nice atmosphere to kick back in and meet some new people.

Great selection of cocktails on offer, there was one they hadnt heard of and did there very best to accomdate me with a drink of the same sort of flavours. Been here only once but will go again. Music wasnt too loud which was also great. reasonably priced

Cool bar, with interesting interior wood work on the walls behind the bar, which gives this place a unique vibe.
Relxaed drinks, no hassles crowd, and even a galaga table machine to pass some time. The outdoor bench seats are great, and you will most likely be sharing with a few other people, but you'll tend to meet a few new crew, and make some random new friends whilst talking over a few cold beers.

There's not much I can say about the Black Cat. It's small but comfortable, and the selection and price of drinks are quite reasonable. The music isn't my cuppa tea but that's just me. I like to relax here with my mates before venturing elsewhere in Fitzroy.

Cosy little bar at the south end of Brunswick Street. Has a very cool little sheltered outdoor area with a few tables and more are set up away from the sheltered bit if the weather is good. On a sunny but chilly day it's even nice inside, basking in the sun from the huge windows. Lots of comfy old couches make it feel like you're in your loungeroom.

They play lots of good music all the time but they often have some good DJ's, especially on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Approximate cost: $-

Great venue, nice crowd. Has good outdoor seating for the summer time. The dated spaces machine and couches add to the character of the place, giving a relaxed vibe. A great atmosphere to chill and have a drink or two, inside or out.

Approximate cost: $N/A

Really cheap drinks, casual grungy kinda vibe. A whole lot different since the new smoking laws as it used to be a pretty smoky place. Now as the weather warms up everyone is outside (smoking) and inside is less busy but at least breathing fresh air. The outdoor seating is good, even though its on the street there's lots of plants around so that you feel like you're in a courtyard. A good easy place to hang out for a long while or a little while.
