While it is fantastic to have a medical service on campus, and in addition to that one that bulk bills, the convenience of both of these options are heavily outweighed by the impossibility of getting an appointment without a weeks notice.They do however offer an alternative option - if you want to be seen the same day, you can call at 9am sharp to see whether there has been any cancellations.

While it is often virtually impossible to get an appointment, the doctors at the medical clinic are friendly and helpful.

Good cheap option if you have the time to wait.

My experiences were pretty mixed. First, if you need a doctor, you will need to book like a week in advance because they are always full. If you are really sick, they will refer you to another clinic. You don't get to choose the doctors though, some doctors are really nice but I've met one who wasn't very keen.

Bulk billing for students is great, and the doctors know what they are talking about. However, appointments book out fast, and they'll only book a week in advance. And while patients must turn up punctually for their appointments, they can also expect an average wait of 5-10 minutes after their appointment time because the appointments often are running behind, especially in the afternoon.

If you get a doctor you really like, it's worth booking your next appointment specifically with them.

best place to go for sick students, the bulk billing is very useful. the staff are very knowledgeable and know what they are doing.

I use the service quite a bit, and bulk billing is excellent for students. I'm pleased to have found a doctor or two who I really like and trust, but I've had some pretty awful experiences here. Sexual health and relationship issues are really below par for a university health centre.

The doctors here are quite helpful. They do bulk billing and there is easy access for ANU students. They helped a lot when I was sick with gastro though I did have to wait a while to be seen. Another time when I had an appointment, but I did have to wait another hour before I could see the doctor. Both times, the doctors were helpful in fixing the medical issues that I had. The waiting room is clean and there is a water cooler for those that need water. There is also a female doctor for those who need one.
