I really want to love this shop. I really do. I love the range. I love the look of it. I have bought a lot of toys here but, my goodness, the service has been mixed. On two occasions, I was looking for a really expensive large Playmobil toy and asked the people here about them. Both times they said they'd find out about it for me and get me one in. On both occasions, I never heard another word. I was prepared to wait for a long time for these products so I could support a local store, rather than just get them online. I don't understand why they couldn't help me. I no longer shop here. This kind of experience is exactly why online stores will prevail.
Such a wonderful place for kids - and adults. The variety of toys is great, especially if you are looking for something a little bit different. Our two kids love hanging out there - and the shop is set up to allow children to experience some toys e.g. Playmobil aeroplane.
Best toyshop in Melbourne - Bar None. One can tell the owner has a passion for her industry, and this shows in the remarkable service. Makes you feel as though you are the most important customer in the world!
This is a great place to shop for toys. The owner is extremely helpful and very pleasant, they have a lovely range of gorgeous toys. It's THE place to go for Playmobil too. There is also an area set up for kids to draw/ sit as well, which is helpful to all the shopping mums out there.

Very sorry to hear this was your experience at The Walrus and the Carpenter Claire. We certainly had some issues last year with a change of Playmobil distributor and didn't always know what was available but that should have been communicated to you. We certainly pride ourselves on great service unfortunately you have slipped through the net not once but twice.
I can say that we now have a full time manager so staff knowledge about stock and follow-up on orders should be spot on. I hope we'll see you back.
