Very nice salon with exquisite set up and a warm feel to it. Very happy with the quality of service provided for a style cut tailored for me. My hair feels so soft and silky and it's easy to maintain the style.

Great experience! Very satisfied with the staff members and the service provided 
The colour & the hair style suggested for me was the best ever. The products used are absolutely beautiful, got a shampoo and conditioner for use at home.
I would highly recommend it.

I purchased a Groupon voucher for this salon and with the expiry date looming in the next month I called to make an appointment. No answer, phone rang out, automated 'please leave your message' in the Telstra Home Messages 101 voice. Which I did, expecting a response at least by the end of that day. Next day rolls around, oh yeah, they never phoned back. Ok, so I called again, once again no answer, same weird message. Aren't they a business (newly established or otherwise, they should have a proper personal answering machine message which says 'we can't attend to this call right now, we'll call you back the moment we're free'). I leave another message. For the next day I call again, and frustrated, I contact Groupon to let them know of the issue. Businesses such as this should be pre-qualified and monitored to ensure they are responding in a timely fashion to any new customer appointment requests. This should be a busy time for the salon yes, but do they really anticipate future business from people who are legitimately trying to make appointments and not even hearing back? If the business has closed then they need to alert Groupon. Not a happy customer - I am local, yet upset and frustrated.

I had same issues as you with other businesses who sold vouchers via groupon. same strange phone answer machine service ...... They had closed down!!! After several emails over a few weeks i finally got a refund from groupon.
Its very disappointing and frustrating, i know

Great. I used a voucher which was very cheap and actually was very surprised to get one of the BEST haircuts I've ever had. I was very skeptical about the quality with a voucher - but I felt like a normal customer and was treated like a normal one. THANKS!

Hi

Did you have trouble getting through to the salon? May I ask when you booked your appointment with them?

Great, cute Salon, very personal with attention to detail from the moment I arrived. I was offered tea, coffee, soft drink, chocolate, and continually been asked if I wanted or needed anything throughout the service. Stylist was just amazing. Never thought I would find a colour that would suit and compliment my face features till I had it done. This would be my second visit and I highly recommend the Salon. Hygiene is second to none. Over all, 10/10!

Was very sceptic at first due to the reviews on here but this is my lesson...never relay on others until you try it yourself. I guess it goes for everything in life.

I can give one word for La Rouge Hair and Beauty, AMAZING!
From the minute I walked in the store I felt so comfortable, the store and the hairdresser was so warm and cosy. The hairdresser performed everything with a professional manner. She asked me where I wanted my foils to be placed and what colour foils I wanted In my hair. She offered me refreshments. The music was a new experience, I've been to other salons where everything is dead silent.

This salon does not have the class nor quality one would expect in south yarra. The hairdresser was like an unsupervised student but completely unsociable, made no conversation, was unkempt, im talking scruffy, threads hanging, mega chipped polish&  gave no apologies for the half hr I had to wait to begin nor whilst she left me to go outside & smoke, feed and have a drink herself she never even offered coffee nor water, she had one song playing on repeat over & over that was so annoying, it was freezing Cold in salon, she was unassisted & constantly leaving me to ans the ph or see what other customers wanted, texting her friends or answering her i-ph, there is
No parking outside & the half head of foils i bought on a voucher she only did a part line -10 foils, without gloves, proceeding to spend minutes wiping her fingers clean between every foil application, had no idea how to section off & did not use sectioning clips on any client. After leaving color on me for an hr & a half when it came to the style cut the voucher included, she claimed my hair did not need trimming took tiny snips here & there so afterwards I still look & feel the need to go elsewhere & get a proper haircut, to top it off after taking up 3 & 1/2hrs of my time i walked out wth hair partly dried with nil styling after being told the voucher did not include blow waving and said she was actually doing me a favor to dry my hair a little so i dont walk out wth it completely wet! Yes just the way you expect to leave a hairdressing salon claiming they are giving you $360 worth!! She informed me they dont even have straightening irons! The voucher was supposed to include a treatment & head massage but u can forget quality hair masque application then being wrapped in plastic or put under a lamp, the reality was something called colour protecting conditioner is put on your hair theres an attempt at massage by pulling it through your hair with no pleasantness whatsoever then immediately washed off splashing water on my face & neckline of my jumper.
Up until i put a treatment in my hair myself at home a few days later my hair felt like straw afterwards.
The whole purpose to offer group buy vouchers is to get new customers yet who would want to step foot back in this salon is beyond me !!!

Approximate cost: $59

Isn't it interesting how someone who has never written a review on this site got on the very next day after you reviewed this salon with pure honesty and claimed the complete opposite experience lmao-must be a good friend of the hairdresser!

Six weeks later i have been to a professional salon who informed me today that my hair had broken off in all the blonde foils due to it being overprocessed at la rouge hair. The hairdresser today could not believe how badly my hair had been treated & i had to lose a lot of length to fix the mistakes the hairdresser from la rouge made. Im very upset :(

I bought a Whypayfullprice voucher for mum &I. Doing thus is always a pampering &enjoyable experience but this was the complete opposite. When we arrived we found ourselves to be the only customers booked in & only ONE hairdresser on who did not introduce herself & was disinterested in gaining much knowledge in how we wanted our hair. The music was so loud she couldn't hear us, nor could Mum &I converse with each other. I had to sit and wait while I watched the worst colour application on my mum I have ever seen. Not even partitioning it like it's usually done. When my Mums hair was completed she had to wait over an hour for her to do me. The usual enjoyable experience being in a salon is maximum two hours which fly by yet we were here from 1.00pm-4.30pm. My mum walked out with yellow hair after asking for blonde and the next day discovered a big missed patch which prompted her to have to go the supermarket and put a packet of color over the top. BTW-This voucher they claimed to be worth $720 !!!! I have serious doubts whether this hairdresser we had is qualified &certainly does not present well. At no time did she offer coffee tea or a refreshment and the most astonishing thing was a blowave was not included in this apparent $720 worth of deluxe hair make over. The half head of foils it was meant to be- she did only a quarter of a head, and claimed it would normally cost $180.00!!! She also dropped colour on my clothes. I have had to book in elsewhere to get my hair cut & coloured as this hairdresser had no confidence in cutting whatsoever, the hair on the floor to sweep up from both mum and I would have fitted in my palm. My leggings are stained as is the sleeve of my top. The dead ends I wanted removed are still visible and I was really shocked at her tentative attempt at what she claimed was a $80.00 STYLE cut the voucher offered. In fact I think my hair has broken off where the colour was applied as bits are sticking up with split ends. The most shocking thing was our hair was only partly dried by bursting the hairdryer on us and when I asked her to use a round brush to straighten it she told me that would be $100.00 extra !!! ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS on top of the $80 they charge to cut it!! At this point the owner was parking her car out the front and this hairdresser ran out and asked if she was meant to blow dry our hair to compliment a "hair make-over"and claimed the owners response was a big NO! When I asked her to breakdown the $720.00 worth of hairdressing we were getting she claimed the head massage she did for two minutes WITHOUT any skill was worth $30.00 each and the so called “special nourishing treatment” she pumped from a container labelled “conditioner” sitting next to the bottle labelled “shampoo” was worth $70.00!! That she immediately rinsed off after the two minute supposed head massage. My hair felt extremely dry the next day - even home treatments I do give my hair more softness. The disappointment for both my mum and I is overwhelming. With group buy vouchers you get the good and the bad, we walked out looking worse than we did walking in.. shocking awful hair and our smiles long gone. The least I can say is the cleanliness and hygiene level seemed good here but they have only been operating two months. .doubt they will last.

Approximate cost: $99
