When we first moved to Surry Hills my wife and I started doing the rounds of all the different restaurants around the neighbourhood and there were plenty to choose from. Sai was really nice, loved the bread and the curry was really nice.

Mehrey Da Dhaba is an indian restaurant not far from where we live. A few of our friends rave about it. I have tried it a couple of times, it was nice but not great. Maybe it was just built up to much first, I am not sure. I would eat there again as its close and well priced and not a bad meal.

I bought the best dog I have ever had from Kirkgate boxers. He was pure bred, never had any health issues and had the nicest personality I have ever come across in a dog and you could never ask for a better guard dog or friend.

I don't like to give a place a bad rating but I have to admit, I didn't like Il Baretto. I have a friend who likes it and we went there once for lunch and I thought the food was horrible and when we went back there a few days later (reluctantly) for a coffee I thought the coffee was okay but that was overpowered by the fact that the waitress was a pretentious snob. I think living in the eastern suburbs there are plenty of places that make nice coffee. I try to make a point though of avoiding places that look down at me because I haven't got my best clothes on though or they just don't like my look.
