We went on a 'value night' - it was only cheap because the portions were so small. Don't think the steak is a bargain - it is less than a centimetre thick. Well done means crispy. Quality wasn't there. When your meal comes with salad, you're given a small bowl and there are about 5 different types of salads available for you to self serve. Nothing inspiring. Cramped dining. Seems very cliquey and the atmosphere is not very welcoming to people that aren't regulars. Also feels fairly judgemental - I wouldn't take children here.

Prices have gone up since I first went there - I'm not entirely sure it's justified though. Drinks are not included in your buffet price, but water is free. Pretty much all options deep-fried, so you'll need drinks - the night we went, the food seemed a bit dry. Desserts are ice cream, jelly and mousse - the mousse is very fatty and you can feel the residue on the roof of your mouth. Options included pizza, chips, lasagne, fish, prawn chips etc.

Was drawn to Taigum Tavern with a promotion for locals. I wasn't really expecting a great meal, just normal pub food. We ordered barramundi and Surf and Turf. Large servings and tastes sooo good - especially the Surf and Turf - was a bit of a struggle to finish it, but good value for $29.

Will price match. Pharmacists will come out and talk to you. Is within an IGA so you can wander around/do your shopping while waiting for your script. Staff are polite and well trained. Staff know you by name.
Very busy, car parking is at a premium. Staff will get to you when they can, but when they do, they're very well trained and know exactly what you require when explaining symptoms.
Has now rebuilt on Sues Korner - haven't visited the new premises. On the couple of occasions we visited (before the fire), they did not have the advertised specials in stock. Minimum chips was a good deal. If the owners are the same, they were really nice.
Will match competitors prices. Friendly service tends to be a little hit-and-miss, depending on the sales assistant you get, but overall it's good. Very well stocked.
Small newsagent, but always very friendly. Very clean and magazines are easy to find and organised. One man in particular (maybe an owner?) is always in a good mood, eager to help and will have a chat while you browse - or point you in the right direction of what you're looking for. Very refreshing for a newsagent to be like this.
Used to go there a lot but the prices went up a bit with their move to across from the Zillmere library. It's good because it's a relaxed feel and you can feel more comfortable there than bigger named places. I think they've swapped from using vegetable oil on your back (which made you smell like a greasy chip) to moisturiser (for a price). The half hour massage seems to start at the time you go into the room on your own though, not from when she starts massaging. They can offer health rebates but only to smaller funds - not Medibank or MBF.
Don't go for a massage here during your lunch break as you will end up a) smelling like a chip and b) with the vegetable oil all through your hair. Not a pretty sight.

Had a really friendly shop assistant helping me for well over an hour. Very helpful, not pushy and went well out of her way to help me find suitable jeans (went hunting in the store room). Would recommend it - plus the prices are just fantastic!
