Recently changed hands and is just not the same. Harsh to say, but there are plenty of other options nearby that are far better. However, new owners did say they have a refurbishment planned for later in the year, so hopefully the vibe will be better after that.
I was a bit wary of using this website as I could not find any reviews, but I gave it a go and it turned out really well! There is a shop in Sydney according to the website, but I did everything online.
My photo had a very including busy background, so I used the "special instructions" section to ask that they remove as much of the background as possible so the faces were all that was left. It was perfect and looks amazing. I also opted to purchase a light base.
I ordered on a Sunday night and had it on my door step Monday a week later, much faster than expected.
Products are expensive, but you get what you pay for and I would recommend going for it - it's a great gift idea and I'm so happy I used this website.
Approximate cost: $start at $50
Handy location and helpful staff.
The range of garden supplies - bark chip, mulch, sand, etc - is pretty much the same as elsewhere but can cost a little more, as well as metal and wood sleepers.
Also have a good range of pavers and paving supplies, as well as a paving display, and staff can help if you're not sure on colours or the best paver for your needs. Price of pavers depends on colour and style but is generally quite competative and worth a look.
I have previously bought landscaping pebbles (which are sold by the tonne and I got about 20kg, so didn't spend much to get a great effect - much cheaper than buying them in 2kg bags elsewhere) and pavers. I wasn't sure on pavers as needed them for a shared car and outdoor entertaining area and staff knew what would work best - lucky as I had almost decided on thin pavers that would have broken if I had parked a car on them.
Prices are pretty standard but the staff here are helpful, knowledgable and friendly. I go here a few times a year for mushroom for the vegie garden, which costs about $50 per cubic metre - may sound a lot but the stuff is great for the garden and goes a long way. The cottage mulch is also good.
Have also previously bought bark chip and pebbles in large amounts.
Staff are helpful with the right types of mulch for what you need and know what to use especially if you're looking for water-saving ideas.
Do not waste your time - many surveys longer than 20 mins end in a 'technical error' right at the end of the survey and customer service always says it is somehow your fault.
You will slowly get points and be able to redeem rewards, but your time is better spent on one of the many of other similar websites.
Great chicken schnitzel packs for under $9. Also a great range of salads and seafood.
Little shopping area this shop is in looks a bit run down and quality is pretty much standard for this type of food, but the service is always great and they are always busy, so we can't be the only ones who come back so often.
great service, very affordable items. also sell a small range of earrings and bracelets. Charms can be fitted. Great for small gifts.
Also have a nice range of Disney Charms
Great shop for discounted books - South Australian owned.
Priced are okay - to be honest you can usually get it cheaper online, but if you need it in a hurry or want to look first, this is a good place to shop. Some of it is just junk, but I often find activity sets here that I'm wary of buying online without knowing exactly what I'm paying for.
They do seem to change locations pretty frequently though, so if you can't find them do a lap of the whole mall before giving up.
This newsagency has one of the best ranges of magazines around - lots of international publications hard to get elsewhere. Also a great range of cards from $1 upwards and they always have a great range of calendars and diaries from about November to January. Also a lotto agent.
Small key cutting/engraving business near the exit from City Cross Arcade onto James Place. These guys do somne of the neatest engraving I've ever seen and for a very reasonable price. I got two baby bracelets engraved and was worried the nameplates were far to small, but the managed it and it looked perfect, and was done on the spot while I waited for only a few minutes.
Check out the City Cross website for a discount voucher.
