after getting pain in my foot issues more than I'd like, I decided to lookup podiatrists in The Shire & found them -- they gave me friendly, personal, helpful, kind, informative, caring service for all my foot needs. even though my private health fund didnt cover pdiatry, I was more than happy to pay for the service, being of such quality as it was~!

just walk past this well tucked-away restaurant, with the coolest outdoor seats you cant help but wanna hang around in after enjoying a yummy meal here~!
the 1st time we dined here ~ 7pm it was quiet but got quite busy & noisy as the night progressed..
love the in-house specialties, I've tried the 'thai rose paradise' (king prawn or fish in creamy mild curry paste, lychee, rambutan, pineapple, tomato, basil leaves, fresh chilli and kaffir lime leaves - $19) but because of my gout I substituted the prawns for chicken, this was an absolute delight for my taste buds on coconut rice, then I had their coconut lime sorbet for dessert. very nice & light!
the 2nd time I tried their lunch special ($9) - massaman beef which is a winner anywhere, anytime!! again on coconut rice. I thought I was full until I saw their desserts menu, so beware it's highly tempting!! I gladly succumbed to their chocolate lava cake :D .. and my stomach agreed =D. I'm Definitely looking forward to future dines here & sampling their delights~!

I'm ALWAYS keen for good Indian, and since the friend I was with could only have a quick dinner, i thought these Indian diners would suit perfectly!
I had a small 3 vegge curries without rice consisting of- vegetable korma, chickpea curry, mixed vegetable curry and a peswari naan which I highly recommend if you haven't tried it yet !- they're a soft naan bread filled with coconut, sultanas & cherries - delightfully sweet without being overly so. PERFECT for mopping up curry sauce remnants on your plate / box~! :D
their servings of naan bread are BIG! .. even my 'small' order of 3 curries filled me up very well!

popped into this now 4-month new Thai restaurant last Thuraday night ~6pm. Given the absence of diners, word apparently hasn't spread of just how good this place is~! The decor is simple, but sufficient. the staff very friendly, just lovely.
I had their BBQ chicken (though I wanted to try their BBQ lamb, but thy'd run out of lamb by that time) for $14.90
the menu appealed to me most - i look VERY forward to sampling the chef's specials - listed on their website. Thai dishes I've not seen on other Thai restaurants I've been to - like Chilli Fish, crispy fish salad, fig lamb, herbal & spicy duck, fig lamb, macadamia / coconut lime prawns. yum~! gettinghungry writing this ;D~~
they even do free delivery within designated areas - see their website for 20% off first order, and get loyalty credit. hooray for internet ordering, but don't miss out on meeting the family who run this business!
*note: paywave payment facilities available ;)

I LOVE VITAMIN 'F' -- FREE! :D
their other services, aside from X rays are NOT bulk billed; see their website.

finally! I got to try a sushi & sashimi combo with a willing friend last week - it's getting increasingly popular here, but thankfully everytime I've come I've still managed to sit a table inside, except once . . . so for ~$46, we were served a delightful array of oysters, sashimi (raw fish) , sushi roll slices (my favorite on this platter had the lightly seared salmon (?) on top, every tidbit a tasty mouthful of flavour~! I found out too late that they have a loyalty card - get a free takoyaki (fried octopus ball), on your 5th visit, then a free soft shell crab salad on your 10th visit for free. Everytime I've been here I've never gone wrong!

I came here with my Aussie "dad" for a late fathers' day lunch, arrived ~ 1pm & the business was buzzing! yummy food, fast & efficient service with generous servings (I was full on half of my red curry with boiled fish fillet + 'khanom jeep' (chicken + prawn dumpling entree) ... unfortunately they chsrge for take away boxes, and mistakenly overcharged me for another container on the receipt which I only noticed later. total cost for both of us was $34.2 (should've been less minus the box, but oh well ..) they have paypass facilities, so all bank card holders with discount for paypass purchases take note! ;)
I only just discovered they offer - 10% Off On Your 1st Order‎ if you go to their site www.siam-thai.com.au & order online! :)

If you like your seafood at a locatrion with a view, then you'd like it here ... all at a price of course .. for the 5 of us we bought the hot platter & cold platter & paid ~$40 each. I wasn't really full despite the large amount of seafood it looked like we'd eaten - didn't take long before I was hungry again :S

with a bunch of friends looking for a good seafood restaurant after hiking up Mt. Tomaree, we found Rock Lobster on google & then passed by Marina Ice Creamery as we walked to our dinner spot, knowing we'd be back at this ice creamery for dessert.

the incredible thing about the Marina Ice Creamery that makes it stand out from others is it features 50 (!) different flavours of ice creams, gelato & sorbet, as well as Sundaes, Pancakes, Waffles, Milkshakes, Fruit Smoothies
Espresso, Coffees, Chai, Hot Chocolates!! the only downside is they don't offer taste testing of their flavours, which I didn't mind, as every flavour looked like a winner! I ventured out & tried the fig & marscapone flavour, with no regrets! A beautiful ending to a totally beautiful day in Beautiful Nelsons Bay. Another plus - they offer payment by paypass - great for all you bank card holders that offer discounts on purchases by paypass! ;)

I went in to see a movie with a brother, after parking we caight the lift up to level 4, and looking around for a dinner spot, we saw the sign outside Grill'd burgers Winning value considering my concession movie ticket would cost $16.50 alone!! Grill'd does the BEST burgers anywhere in my opinion this time since I had bad gout, I tried their 'garden goodness' burger on a lo-carb bun - even though I'm usually a meat lover, this veggie burger turned out to be delightfully tasty & filling all on its' own :D enjoyed the best movie too, all at a super - value price!! my brother had one of their chicken burgers and was also contentedly ful after!

the best thing about eating at Grill'd burgers is their support for local community organisations doing good in the community. Truly a winning choice to eat for everyone!! :)

Approximate cost: $12.5
