Staff are professional and each time I go in they are friendly and helpful. The current optometrist is excellent and extremely thorough with the eye check, taking the time to explain each test and examination he is conducting. The selection of eye wear is vast and I generally have trouble choosing just one pair that I like.

A not so well organized second hand book store but at least the genres are placed in the same areas. There appears to be some organizing going on since Mr Gould sadly departed and his daughter is now in control. Be prepared to spend a few hours reviewing the shelving and piles of books to find a bargain... And if you suffer from allergies perhaps take some tissues and a claratine before you go in.

An excellent, clean and well organized second hand book store. Love just browsing the shelves and always seem to find something to take home. Will generally give good value (store credit) for books taken in to recycle.

We attended a 3rd birthday party here over the weekend. Compared to the other play centre I reviewed it was on par but I think the set up of the venue could be better, having all the play areas down one end and the party rooms down the other. Simply because if you have an adventurous toddler and a finding their feet baby as a parent you are limited with which child to please and who to keep a close eye on. The party host set up was good but probably not a good idea to try to do two different things with 3 year olds at the same time. By that I mean they are sitting around a table eating whilst pass the parcel is being attempted all the while all they really want to do is play on the equipment... Probably a little over stimulating for them. The tea cups ride is really good to have, as is the staff member overseeing the kids on the slides.

We have never eaten in but delivery is quick and hot. Pad Thai is a favourite as is the Duck Curry. Orders over $35 get two free cans of soft drink and delivery is free in the local area.

Approximate cost: $12.00

We have never actually eaten in but delivery is fast, friendly and hot. Orders over $35 get a free bag of prawn chips and it's free home delivery for orders over $15.20. I love the chicken and corn soup and the Mongolian Lamb is delish.

Approximate cost: $12.00

Wow - if you want a big meal then this is the place to get it. We had dinner here and had the schnitzel (chicken with creamy mushroom sauce aka Jaeger. Hubby had the veal and spicy tomato sauce aka Gypsy). The servings were huge and really tasty. Service was friendly and helpful. Staff were always on hand to check that everything was to our satisfaction and whilst they don't cater for kids as such, the meals are so big you don't have to order separately for them. They have plenty of high chairs as well as pencils and colouring book pages. Our biggest mistake was ordering entree. There was no way we could order dessert as we were so full. Pity because they looked fantastic. Next time we know better!! Remember to book ahead as they get pretty busy.

Approximate cost: $22.00 a schnitzel

Those reviewing my profile will know I am a fan of another Sydney Laksa hot spot but Jimmy's is closer to my side of town and the Laksa here is great. Service is quick and efficient. It's busy and again I would recommend an early rather than late lunch in order to get a seat. Its great value and your are definitely satisfied after eating here.

Definitely the best laksa in Sydney and no matter how infrequently I go in there, the owner, knows our faces and knows instantly our usual order. Really busy at lunch times, I prefer to go in for an early dinner after work (they close at about 7pm weeknights) but you can always get a seat.

Approximate cost: $12.00

We attended a birthday party a few weeks ago and found that the children absolutely wore themselves out in this play centre. The range of activities was excellent. As it was a birthday party I was a little disappointed that the host (staff member) wasn't more engaging with the children like you would expect of a host of this type of venue - she seemed more like a waitress to a bunch of 3 year olds rather than someone who encouraged the kids to dance and play games. We do have another party to attend in a few weeks (clearly its the place to party!) so this review may be revised if my views are suitably changed.
